Celebrating Art, Building Partnerships, Empowering Youth. 🎨🤝

On this day, the CUTECH Group team paid a courtesy visit to Chief Sunday Chukwu Art Gallery, where we explored an impressive collection of creative artworks, particularly striking metal sculptures that showcase the beauty of craftsmanship, creativity and artistic expression.

Beyond appreciating the artistry, we used the opportunity to introduce the Enugu Youth Skill Acquisition & Empowerment Programme (EYSAEP 2.0) and share our vision of equipping young people with practical skills that can create opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship and personal development.

We believe that creativity, technical expertise and skills development are essential to building a generation of innovative and resourceful young people.

At CUTECH, we continue to connect with individuals, businesses and creative professionals who share a commitment to nurturing talent and empowering the next generation.

EZIULO STREET

What this artwork said to me…

The artist shared the story of a young couple who began their life together on this street.

They did not have much. Without cars or many luxuries, they walked together to nearby shops, even if it was only to buy bread. Life was difficult, but it was also intimate. Their love grew through those ordinary moments.

Eventually, life became more comfortable. They could afford their own means of transportation, and things were supposedly better. Yet somewhere within that progress, the walks stopped, the little moments became fewer, and the emotional closeness they once shared began to fade.

This artwork reminded me that progress is not only about what we gain. Sometimes, we must also pay attention to what we may be leaving behind.

The simpler season was not necessarily better, but it held something valuable like time, presence and togetherness. Every stage of life has something worth appreciating, and as our circumstances change, we must intentionally carry the things that matter with us.

Perhaps the goal is not to return to having less, but to remember how to love with the same attention when we finally have more. POV●Nomad_yin

Eziulo ... Simply inlove 💫

Mama Ejima was inspired by and dedicated to the artist’s wife.

After seeing her photograph, I was amazed by how beautifully he captured her likeness, especially her striking face and distinctively shaped nose. It made the sculpture feel even more intimate: not merely an imagined representation of motherhood, but a tribute to a woman he knows, loves, and admires.

The sculpture shows a mother carrying two children (twins)one in front and another securely positioned behind her. A mother may not be looking directly at the child on her back, yet she remains conscious of every movement. She carries, protects, and continues forward, trusting an instinct that often allows her to sense what she cannot physically see.

Then there is the strength required to hold two children at once, the physical strength to bear their weight, and the emotional capacity to make each child feel safe.

Mama Ejima honours the intuitive nature of women: the ability to nurture, protect, and

I was in Enugu for the @alaigbocreativeworkshop . This workshop hosted by @afiatvofficial supports creatives in the region with skills to help them further in their creative career. Facilitating Thé Cinematography class, I loved every minute of sharing knowledge with students who were eager to discover new ideas and grow their creative talents.

This workshop came from a desire to see this space thrive and be better, to compete globally. It is a free workshop , so in a way giving back to the people.

My deepest gratitude to Afia and @emekankem_mba for all they do for the creative community in the southeast, a big respect and shoutout to my fellow facilitators @chukwuartempire @lexisphotography1 @justadachi who also took their time to share knowledge. And my deepest thank you to @chief_vera for the work put into this. #alaigbocreativeworkshop

Sooooo, I accidentally joined a Photography Training and I loved it!
I know I don't share much of my creative or artistic experience other than languages but let's talk...

Honestly, I had no flipping idea what I was doing there but I was there, it was fun and I PARTICIPATED! Of which my works came out beautiful🤗

I learned a lot and enjoyed the aspect of composition techniques, connected to photography, sculpting and painting 🎨 which I had earlier came for but my experience in the training day 2 was worth it.
I couldn't make it for day 1 🫠

I'm grateful to @afiatvofficial @afia_homecoming Alaigbo Creative Circle for hosting this Training. I look forward to actually making use of the techniques I have learned in my creative journey and I look forward to My Enugu Story - GOLIBE✨

I got to meet amazing artists and professionals @lexisphotography1 @chukwuartempire and many more. Thanks for sharing your expertise and inspiring us.

If you'd like to see more of my creative, inquisitive and artistic experiences, let me know in the comments🌝

Creativity needs more than talent; it needs the right environment to grow. ✨❤️

That is what the Alaigbo Creative Circle is building, a space created to equip, connect and empower creatives in the Southeast with practical skills, mentorship and opportunities to tell our stories in new and meaningful ways.

I had the privilege of joining the Art & Photography class, and honestly, I left seeing creativity differently.

From understanding the thought behind an artwork to learning how to look at photography beyond simply taking a picture, the sessions reminded me that every frame has a story, and every creation has a voice.

Meet two of the amazing minds who guided us:

@chukwuartempire, acelebrated sculptor and visual artist whose work beautifully transforms Igbo culture, identity and philosophy into art. He taught us to look beyond the surface of an artwork and understand the story, thought and identity behind what we create.

@lexisphotography1 & @alexisgalleries — an award-winning editorial, travel, wedding and portrait photographer and educator, who took us beyond simply taking pictures. He taught us on the Exposure Triangle and how to pay attention to light, and most importantly, the story inside the frame.

And my Biggest Takeaway?

1. “Not all Intelligent People are creative, but creative people are intelligent “
2. “Art is Relative therefore do works that inspires hope, joy, happiness, positivity”
3. Art is an expression of life generally
4. “Photography is a pictorial representation of life through pictures”

Grateful to @chief_vera and Alaigbo Creative Circle for creating a space where creatives can learn, connect and grow. ❤️

Sculptor Sunny Chukwu, Director of N Gallery, Enugu, brought the conversation back to a place we sometimes overlook: HOME.

There are stories around us waiting to be noticed. In the fabrics of Ariaria Market, the richness of our festivals, our cultures, our streets and the everyday details that make the South East distinct. The opportunity is not always somewhere far away. Sometimes, it is right in front of us, waiting for a creative eye to recognise it and a strong voice to tell it differently.

A reminder to look closer, embrace your creative self, and tell the stories that only you can tell 🧡

Who Carries Who?
3ft x 3ft oil on canvas.
In this work, the ancient Idu masquerade — one of the most powerful spirits in Igbo cosmology — carries the crucified Christ. Or is it the other way around?
A meditation on power, syncretism, colonial legacy, and spiritual tension in contemporary Nigeria. What happens when two worlds collide on the same body?
Painted from a shared bedroom studio in Benin City with limited resources but unlimited questions.
@yusaku2020 I’d be honoured if you saw this piece.
DM for high-res images, details, or inquiries.

2025 FROM MY ARCHIVES 📸
📍ENUGU, NIGERIA
Somewhere between taking these pictures and actually posting them, an entire year passed. 😭

Still can’t believe I got to experience the Things Fall Apart Festival in Enugu last year. And yes, that’s THE Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie signing my copy of Dream Count. 🥹

I really had such a good time, and somehow these pictures have been sitting in my gallery since then. 😭

Better late than never, I guess.

Last year I wrote an epistle on World Photography day but I never got to post it.
This year I have no epistle, however, I have some photos of great minds I’d like to share.

I had no expectations coming for this event, however I think I have the best story to tell but I can’t express with words. So, I would just share this few photos and tell you all, Happy WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY.

Before Christianity arrived in Igbo land, the masquerade already walked among the people as the voice of the ancestors.

Today, millions kneel before the crucifix.

But what happens when the two worlds meet in one image?

An IDU masquerade… carrying Christ on its head.

Is this blasphemy…
history…
or a question we are afraid to ask?

This is a sketch for a larger work I’m developing.

Be honest:
Does this image offend you, fascinate you, or make you uncomfortable?
Some people will see disrespect.
Some will see history.

Because the truth is…
Christianity didn’t arrive in Africa alone.

It arrived on top of cultures that were already sacred.

If this artwork was exhibited publicly in Enugu, do you think people would:

A. Protest it
B. Debate it
C. Ignore it

I’m genuinely curious.
