Yesterday meant so much more to me than just a baby shower. It reminded me how truly blessed we are to have so many people surrounding us with love, encouragement, and support as we begin this beautiful new chapter.
Every hug, every kind word, every gift, every laugh, and every little detail that went into yesterday will always hold a special place in my heart. Knowing that Sayuri is already surrounded by so much love before she has even entered this world means more to me than I could ever put into words.
To everyone who has supported me throughout this journey, thank you for being there for me—not just today, but through every moment. Your love and encouragement have meant everything to me, and I will never take it for granted.
And to everyone who showed up for Sayuri, thank you for showing her just how loved she already is. I hope she grows up knowing that she has an entire village cheering for her, praying for her, loving her, and supporting her every step of the way.

From palm-lined streets glowing under soft holiday lights to sun-warmed pathways that lead you straight into serenity, this space was designed to feel lived-in, loved, and unmistakably West Coast. We blended a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with that iconic LA vibe, where city polish meets laid-back coastal living.

The streetscape welcomes you with sculpted palms, warm lighting details overhead, and clean architectural lines that give a sense of arrival without feeling overwhelming. Every pathway feels intentional, guiding you through lush landscaping, subtle florals, and curated greenery that softens the modern surroundings.

By night, the glow transforms the space into something intimate and magical especially around the holidays. During the day, it opens up into a bright, breathable environment that feels calm and expansive. The landscape shifts into a more natural rhythm sandy beaches, rocky accents, and palms swaying effortlessly, creating a seamless flow between home and nature. It’s beachy without being bare, elevated without being cold. A place where mornings feel slow, evenings feel warm, and everything in between feels easy.

This project was all about balance: homey but elevated, relaxed but intentional, city-inspired with a coastal soul. A true LA lifestyle moment designed for living, gathering, roleplaying and escaping without ever leaving home. 🤍🏝️

Part 2: N: What advice would you give to those wanting to do what you do, or just trying to make it through?

M: My advice? Baby, just start. I came out the gate on go — no lie.🤣 You couldn’t tell me nothing. I wasn’t waiting for anyone to teach me, guide me, or hold my hand. I hopped on YouTube, figured out how to download OBS, taught myself how to record, learned my mouse controls, tested windlights — boom. I did that myself. No walkthrough, no mentor. Just me.

Now, if someone asks me for help, I’d happily give it. But my number one piece of advice will always be: practice. I had no teacher — I was the teacher. And trust, I still may take a class soon to level up my graphics even more.

So if you wanna do this? Do it. Trial and error will humble you, shape you, and turn you into something great.
