As athletes we have a responsibility to be an example to our community. Any time that there is an opportunity for you to advocate or uplift your community you should take it. You will never regret a moment that you have spent in service to those in the community in which you play. It gives such a richer feeling to the game.

Everything we have done so far has been leading up to toady! It’s Kickoff day! And while some teams only had to wait a few months to get back to it we have been waiting since July of 2019! We have trained for this day! We have planned for this day! It’s been a long time coming but, YEAH DAWG, the SLAM is back!

Happy Kickoff day everyone!

Day 31 of #MeetThePlayer Who I’m playing for this season.

We have to pay to play and because of that some years some of us have to weigh the pros and cons of that cost. My sister on my left and my sister on my right won’t be suiting up with me and I don’t know how to feel about it. These are my girls and I have decided that every minute that play this season will be in honor of my Sisters Kris & KeKe. I won’t take any of it for granted 💛

If you want to donate money for my player’s fund please by all means! I definitely appreciate everything that I receive even likes and shares for visibility. You can Donate at https://secure.squarespace.com/checkout/donate?donatePageId=5899ed6aa5790ad5fcfea83f&ss_cvr=44f9176d-4627-4289-a2e9-732bb40a98d0%7C1646621977047%7C1646621977047%7C1646621977047%7C1&ss_cvt=1646621977047&websiteId=57fc50f0be65940e0ba75c46

and you can purchase tickets to the home game, which also goes to my players fund, at https://stlslamfootball.ticketspice.com/2022-season-tickets

When donating or purchasing tickets please put my name down, Cherie Miller, as the player that you are supporting

Day 25 of #MeetThePlayer Rookie Class.

Nothing will ever recreate your first experience with something. Your first gives you an energy and exhilaration that can never be rematched simply because it’s your first. It’s the not knowing what to expect and the anticipation that makes the experience an absolutely one of a kind moment. Your rookie class will always be your measuring stick. You will always compare your new seasons to what you have done or experienced that year. Because of that the first year will always be special 🧡🤍🖤

Day 18 of #MeetThePlayer Sponsors.

One of the hardest hurdles of being a woman athlete is the lack of funding. We are egregiously underfunded and underpaid. Because of this many of us have to juggle full time jobs on top of preparing for the sport that we love!

Every dollar that is given goes to giving us women the opportunity to complete without the worries of affording the cost. Sponsors literally give us the fuel to continue to fight the good fight and close the wage and play gap between women and men in sports

We are also still accepting donations if you want to give something over at stlslamfootball.com
