入座 w/ CIAIC & Rev Date: 05.06/2026 Wed (三) Start at 22:00 Free Entry
 Guest: CIAIC (FR) Rev
Take a seat, listen deeply, fold inward. “Take a Seat” is an experimental sound series that settles into ordinary nights. We invite artists from diverse musical backgrounds—those whose work lends itself to attentive, seated listening—to share their practices. The format is open: synthesizers, instruments, vinyl, or digital media. What matters is expanding possibilities, and bringing listening back into the body. For this edition, we welcome CIAIC, based in France, alongside producer Rev, for a sonic exploration of low frequencies, space, and the edges of perception. On this night, let go of habitual postures. Sit still. Let the low end press gently against your body, let the sound unfold at its own pace. Within their interwoven waves, sense the expansion of space and the echo of the self. “Taking a seat” is not merely about finding a place to sit, but about retuning perception. We are used to leaning back into chairs and sofas, rarely aware of the act of sitting itself. When you sit on the ground, without support, the weight of your body becomes present again, and attention follows—folding inward, slowly, as in meditation.

As night falls, the lights flicker inside a community center on Chicago’s South Side. The wooden floor gleams, polished by countless sneakers scraping across it. The bass from the speakers pounds like a heartbeat. Kids form a circle, and suddenly a teenager rushes into the center—his toes tapping, stepping, crossing, folding, darting—while his upper body stays eerily calm, almost locked in place. This is Footwork: a culture of music and dance born from the streets, yet resonating across the globe. In the world of electronic music, Footwork is a genre bursting with vitality—and controversy. Some people hear it for the first time and feel completely overwhelmed; others get instantly hooked and can’t stop. Some call it chaotic, others call it cutting-edge. Some even say it “isn’t music,” yet today many world-class producers see it as a wellspring of inspiration. But regardless of how you judge it, Footwork has, over the past two decades, carried out a quiet yet powerful expansion: growing from dance circles in Chicago’s South Side Black communities into one of the most influential forces in global experimental music and underground dance scenes. This Sunday, CIAIC from Paris, France, along with collaborators Rudi and Aroll, will fuse the Footwork rhythms born on Chicago’s South Side with electronic music inspired by it—using unconventional grooves, seemingly out-of-control loops, and ever-rising energy to fully ignite the dance floor. ROLL06 - Finally getting a ’still processing’ posts of my own. @draaimolen_ was something i still don’t exactly have words for but will give it a quick go Firstly thanks to @milovanbuijtene and the Draaimolen team for making this dream of a party come true, coming alive from the woods and soil, it grew in such an organic way and became an incredibly beautiful dancefloor, w groups of people dancing together everywhere at the back and soundsystem frogs deep in the trip at the very front of the sinai stacks. Shouts to @sinaisound (👑) - they were here for 5 years and they were here for 10 years. To many more years to come. Big hugs to @_manamisakamoto and @luukvanderheijden_ for visuals and lights from another world and letting darkness take its reign and applying an incredibly beautiful, dark and soft touch to AURA. Thanks to way too many people, all the friendly faces on the dancefloor, to the new friends. And of course to every single artist that trusted us with this and took a part in this beautiful journey @draaimolen_ Timedance is 10, big up @batu_timedance for the trust / fun / guidance / consistent nerding / creativity n some more - shouts to us too, proud of all this and all of what’s to come too. If you had a dance on AURA over the weekend the biggest thank you of all of them is for you Heart + Soul filled to the brim 🤍
