We have the marquee back up again as there is a little change in the weather. This means the pinnies are out, feather dusters to the fore and we can do the Sea Hare Shuffle again, you know the one with us doing a foxtrot down to the ferry and back, We kinda hadn’t got the heart or, truth be told, the knees for it recently but it’s on again. Don’t get us wrong, we have loved pretending to be Greece, with us all lolling around in the sunshine, melting and demanding ice cream bars, really ice cream bars made by Beth’s fair hands. An exotic addition to the stellar menu, but now like maiden aunts and auld fellas, we get to go back in to the cool of the Sea Hare marquee. This all means we can see more of y’all! Now it’s time for the real summer wardrobe to emerge. Firstly gents; we’d prefer you didn’t wear the 2001 cargo pants which went out in, well, 2001, and headed for the more attractive 2012 version, please. According to our research, lads love the pockets on cargo pants. Easy knowing they’ve never had to walk along behind a fella with his entire life in them, including the mobile phone , money, keys etc. It makes for not a pretty look from behind, basic physics, too much weight, weighs down equals not great views. As for the ladies, well what can we say, they have been making a stellar effort with the great shorts, floaty dresses, and linen yards and yards and more yards of linen. This dressing up for the outdoors puts pressure on one so in the quiet clear cool of the marquee, the dress code is more back of the wardrobe and less queuing at Zara. Such a relief I hear you say. The great plus for us is that we will be seeing more of you, not literally but in greater numbers and we are thrilled.

"If O’Mahony’s continues in this fine fashion, it should be creating a few tailbacks of its own as a ‘night on the town’ becomes a truly local affair once more." Thanks to Joe McNamee of @irish_examiner for today's great review.

We are very proud.

⚡️Business As Usual⚡️ We’re back open today with slightly modified January Open Times... HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone and thank you for making 2017 such a milestone year at O’Herlihys ! The building has been in our family for over 150 years so to have people walking through the doors again is incredible! We’re so lucky to have had so much support in our first months in business and equally fortunate to have a talented group of local suppliers/growers on our doorstep! We’re excited and eager for 2018 with lots of new things to come ! 💕📈🔮
