Hello again, another month, another great bike ride to go on with your friends so come and meet us at @nativecoffeeni at 6:15pm on Friday the 26th of June! Let’s bring the vibe back to the streets of Belfast. This city and its people are about building community and being welcoming to all people regardless of skin colour.
Our poster this month has been a collaboration between @con_orb and @ciaranbee.exe 🤝 the art was originally done by Conor and when Ciaran saw it he was overcome with a powerful and unexplainable emotion, when he went to bed that night Conor came to him in a dream, kind of like the angel to Joseph in the bible only Conor had his head on backwards and was speaking with out moving his mouth, and he told Ciaran to animate his little guys to make this months poster oh so great, even better than it was already. So, here we are, thanks guys.
Let’s bring a bit of colour back to the streets of Belfast by coming together as a community united not by where we’re born or what language we speak but by a shared joy of motion. Remember, one turn of the wheel is a revolution. So c’mon down! Bring your friends, your parents, your grandparents and your neighbours. Everyone is welcome, The CMB Crew ❤️

a poster me and @ciaranbee.exe designed for the @reclaimtheframe screening of Hamnet this month - also some sketches of the process and cyanotypes i made using paper cutouts based on plants and places mentioned in the book made for the @nettlebelfast workshop! i loved the book and film, and i love hagstones, which remind me of my dad and folklore tells us they can be used for lots of different things but mostly warding off bad luck and seeing fairies 🧚

Critical Mass is back for yet another month! This time we are starting somewhere slightly different, on 30/05/25 at 6:15pm we are starting at @nativecoffeeni ☕️!! Native is not far from Big Fish, in fact it is almost directly opposite the BF on the other side of the river! If in doubt, go over the pedestrian bridge away from Big Fish and when you get to the other side turn left, you’ll be there in seconds! Check out their account for the location and why not treat yourself to a nice coffee on one of the days leading up to the ride to practise getting round there!
This month we are joined as usual by @bang_bike_belfast who is bringing along @chrisjones_ to spin some choons to keep the party rolling right the way round to @playthinkbrink where we’ll be partying away until 9pm! Don’t forget to keep an eye out on our story on the day where we’ll post the route for anyone that fancies catching up with us along the way. After that sure won’t we all head to @sunflowerpub for an auld lash of pints and craic!
This months poster is brought to us by the animation wizardry of @ciaranbee.exe 🧙‍♂️Ciaran was going for a government emergency simulation of Critical Mass sort of vibe and created this animated poster by using a 15 year old map data simulation program to create a 3D model of Belfast and used low resolution images of the buildings in Belfast to give it that ps1 graphics sort of feeling. This is probably accurate as to how the PSNI sees us when we go around city hall!
As always, tell your friends, tell your family, any form of transport fuelled by what you had for lunch that day is welcome to come along and we hope to see some old friends and some new friends there on the ride. Stay safe out there on the roads in the mean time, The CMB Crew :) ❤️
