Join us for Skate Movie Night!

This month's film is Whip It, a 2009 comedy-drama film co-produced and directed by Drew Barrymore from a screenplay based on Shauna Cross' 2007 novel Derby Girl. The film stars Elliot Page as a teenage girl from a small fictional town in Texas, who joins a roller derby team. The film also stars Marcia Gay Harden, Kristen Wiig, Juliette Lewis, Jimmy Fallon, and Daniel Stern.

We will screen the movie at the skate shop on Saturday, September 26, from 6:30pm-8:30pm. It's free and open to all ages. The film is rated PG-13.

Complimentary popcorn and bottled water will be available; BYO snacks. There will be two benches to sit on, and an area rug up front to lay on if you prefer. You can also bring your own comfy chair. Space is limited; come early to reserve your spot.

Future films and shows will range from lighthearted fantasies to serious documentaries, all with a connection to skating. We hope that you can join us!

Message us at 415-758-0844 or DM us @rollerskateoahu for details, or to let us know what movies or shows you want to see!

Join us for Skate Movie Night on Saturday, August 29!

This month's film is "Airborne," a 1993 comedy-drama about inline skating. It stars Shane McDermott, Seth Green, Britney Powell, and a young Jack Black, in a story about a teen who moves from sunny California to icy Ohio, where his laidback inline skate lifestyle clashes with Midwest culture, especially with the local team of hockey players.

We will screen the movie at the skate shop on Saturday, August 29, from 6:30pm-8:30pm. It's free and open to all ages. The film is rated PG.

Join us for Skate Movie Night on August 1!

This month's film is United Skates, a 2018 documentary about roller rink culture. "When America’s last standing roller rinks are threatened with closure, a community of thousands battle in a racially charged environment to save an underground subculture--one that has remained undiscovered by the mainstream for generations, yet has given rise to some of the world’s greatest musical talent."

We will screen the movie at the skate shop on Saturday, August 1, from 6pm-8pm.
