SB Wild Report Part 2

First assignment: the @blackdiamond Distance Carbon FLZ trekking poles.

Lightweight carbon construction, quick deployment, adjustable length, and a compact foldable design built for moving fast in the mountains.

But specs only tell you so much. Chris is taking them into the wild to see how they actually perform.

Tested in the wild. Reported back to the Basement.

Stay tuned for the next SB Wild Report.

Cool breeze invitational was a success .Last night I got the opportunity to race in the girls elite sundown showdown this race gave me the opportunity to chase a new pr. Of 20:20 in the 3 mile. At this meet I was able to fix personal racing mistakes. Aside from that business is not near done I’m ready work harder this season and stay optimistic. Congratulations to every single one of my team mates let’s keep working. See you soon Woodbridge Invitational!

Our last week in SoCal before we head back to Laramie tomorrow. We packed it all in - beach, waterpark, zoo, cousins, friends, laughter, and tears. My heart is full, but man, I will miss them and this place. We had 14 months of adventures (it flew by!) and I am so grateful to have had this extra time with them. See you next time Encinitas.

Turns out all those trips to the second-floor break room at SBLB were altitude training.

🚨 Staff Spotlight 🚨

A huge congratulations to our very own @cierrecart on reaching the summit of Mount Whitney! From the sales floor to 14,505 feet, it’s proof that big adventures are built one step at a time.

Whether your next goal is a local trail, your first summit, or the highest peak you can find, we’re here to help you get there!

(And yes… we’re officially counting the break room and restroom stairs as part of the training plan. 😂)

Today’s World Cup match is just 6 miles from Sports Basement Sunnyvale in Santa Clara…

The opposing country? About 6,200 miles away. 🌍

So we asked our staff:
🇺🇸 Who’s Team USA playing?
📍 Can you point to Bosnia on a map?

We may not all be geography experts, but we do know how to help you find the gear you need.

Stop by any Sports Basement location for your match day essentials. ⚽️
