Oct 24 @PianosNYC, during a particularly packed weekend of concerts, I'm glad I caught a portion of the wonderfully-named @IHaveADreamPop, a new shoegaze/psych rock/dreampop festival founded by twin brothers Danny & @DanielChavis of the pioneering NYC-via-North Carolina soul shoegaze band @_TheVeldt with @TelepathicWindows & @DigDugDigProductions. The lineup included a diverse array of veteran and newer bands, both local and visiting, that are enthralled with sonic haze and spectral melody.

Philadelphia shoegaze band @CigarettesForBreakfast (not to be confused with the Texas dreampop band Cigarettes After Sex, although if you didn't getting lucky the night before, you may be smoking in the morning) impressed with their ringing My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive influenced sound, and lead singer-songwriter @MattWhiteford 🎤 🎸 definitely has the Kevin Shields hair-hanging over-the-face look down.

Here's the full performance of the chiming phased majesty of "Numb the Pain" from 2025 @TheUpstateSound LP Slow Motion.

Hyde Park Book Club Friday 6th November we have a feast of Shoegaze and Dream Pop from the USA.

Cigarettes for Breakfast are a Philadelphia-based band known for their lush soundscapes and raw, emotive, fuzzed-out performances, capturing the essence of shoegaze and dream pop greats, such as My Bloody Valentine.

"The third single from the Philadelphia band’s Colour Wheel EP, 'Flowing' looks to early My Bloody Valentine, Ringo Deathstarr, and Slowdive to waylay the listener with its peerless approach to sonic seduction; but it also expresses another side in the arrangement and lyrics." - Analogue Trash.

Waves Crashing are an alternative/shoegaze band based in Olympia, Washington, blending 1980s and 1990s post-punk , grunge and dream-pop aesthetics with a contemporary, high-energy edge.

‘Stars’ is "a master class in that on/off, loud/quiet soundscaping that has served alternative music so well over the decades." - The Big Takeover

Abandoned Buildings represent the local scene, bringing their Lynchian inspired take on Shoegaze, Psych & Dreampop following their shows with Whitelands and Psyched Up Leeds alongside Self Immolation Music, Helicon & Gift for their final gig of 2026.

"An uplifting, creamy shoegazerish set of refined post rock flavoured indie sounding things" with pleasant psychedelic undertones - Organ Mag
