After a few great preview audiences, tonight is our official opening of GET HAPPY at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park! Thank you to all of the wonderful artists working on this show. It looks and sounds glorious and people are absolutely beaming in the lobby afterwards. The show has grown and evolved so much over the years; it's truly more fun every time I get to do it. We're here through Nov. 7! Tix: www.cincyplay.com

TALK. What a ride. What a company. What a joy.

As we approach our final performances, I’m enormously grateful to the artists who brought this wild, funny, provocative, deeply human play to life.

Theresa Rebeck — thank you for trusting me with your words, your wit, and your fire.

To the artistic leadership at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park — thank you for the courage to commission and produce a world premiere. New plays need brave theatres. Thank you for taking the leap with us!

To the glorious creative team — what a gift to dream with you:

🎭 Justin and Christopher — our brilliant scenic dream team. Thank you for your imagination and ingenuity.

💡 Mary Ellen — lighting delight (I mean design, but delight is more accurate!).

🎶 Fitz — for giving this world its pulse and rhythm.

👗 Fabian — costume genius and pure joy.

📋 Shelby — for steering our glorious chaos with grace.

🧘 Madison — our beloved stage sanity.

💕 Tatiana — extraordinary dramaturg, generous mind, beautiful heart.

To EVERYONE at the Playhouse — backstage, in the shops, offices, and wings — you are AWESOME. Thank you for everything.

And to my cast. A beautiful company of players.

What a privilege to PLAY with you! To wrestle with big questions, find the ridiculous in the serious, take risks, make fools of ourselves, and discover truth in unexpected places.

Your courage, curiosity, mischief, generosity, and trust reminded me every day why we call it a play.

Here’s to new plays, brave theatres, extraordinary collaborators, and the beautiful, messy magic of making something together.

Thank you, TALK. I’ll miss this gang. ❤️🎭
