the PERFORMING FILIPINA (Official Concept Album) is finally out! this musical has been a labor of love for the past 4 years, one that continues to blossom. I am so excited to finally be sharing our concept album with you all.

thank you to everyone who has ever been involved in its making. from its first reading on the living room floor of the very first apartment I ever called home in NYC, to our most recent presentation at Atlantic Theater’s MixFest this September.

I am so proud to share this album with you all, specifically because of the village that made it happen. the concept album cast featured here—Emy Coligado, Kristian Espiritu, Kay Sibal, Jaygee Macapugay, Laura Dadap, Aliza Ciara, Angeleia Ordoñez, Emily Anne Goes, Frenie Acoba. and so many more behind the scenes—Julian-Quán Việt Lé, Melody Valdez, Jay Julio, Kevin Gomez, Joy Machine Records, Producer Hub, Cindy Tsai (who has fiercely championed this musical since day one), and truly countless friends and family who I have turned to for support and guidance throughout this process. thank you all so, so much.

the album is streaming now on all platforms! you can visit the linktree in my bio for easy access. please give it a listen, share with friends, loved ones, strangers on the street. and ofc, let me know what you think in the comments below :)

Pt 1. Happy Trails @thefamilyalbummusical @lajollaplayhouse … 🥺

It takes a village…led by a badass, incredibly talented POC female creative team this one was different. A deeply healing experience for me, giving me hope in what theater truly can be. These people gave the gift of refuge, relief, peace and calm. Community and Family. Core memory activated. (swipe for some 4- square 🏐)

We created something that truly has never been done before. I’m filled with gratitude and honored to be a part of it. ❤️🙏🏼
