Another great night of stories! We veered off the menopause path for our 2nd annual "Mother's Day, but make it weird" show. Bad career advice from a dying mother? Check! Driving across the country with a dressed up gourd as your passenger? We understand the rationale! Serving as your mom's drug mule (kinda sorta)? It's OK if it's OTC in Canada!

Don't miss out! For the May show, think: Mother's Day, but Make it Weird. We're looking for hilarious, awkward, or slightly uncomfortable five or six-minute stories related to the mother who birthed you, the one who raised you, and/or the one you became. We're especially looking for bad advice about periods, dating, sex, and menopause. Join us to keep it real.

Honestly, a good poem, song, or a "tight five" stand-up routine might also fit the bill!

Going to a protest? Here’s something to consider.

We all know ‘stand up, fight back.’ It’s powerful and historic. I still have buttons & Tshirts that say it.

But not everyone can physically stand, so some in the disability community encourage ‘rise up, fight back’ instead.

Shoutout to the folks, elected officials and orgs who’ve made the switch, or at least continue to try. That awareness matters.

If you’re leading chants, try ‘rise.’ Definitely not a rule, but an invitation.

Because inclusion sometimes sounds like one different word and everyone belongs in the movement including those that rise differently.
