As I take the umpteenth taste of my birthday cake I had to stop and give a shoutout to @cindyrellacakesstudio Besides the fact that this business is minority and women owned, this lady CAN BAKE AND DECORATE! I make cakes so I’m a pretty tough critic but this Pink Champagne Cake 🎂 with tiara, gold leaf, macarons and ferra roche chocolate was EVERYTHING! No notes! I also have to thank my dear friends @_moonjack and Wade Jackson for gifting me this. I CLAPPED LIKE A TODDLER when they brought it out.

My bestie requested I do this reel after seeing someone else do one 🤣. And because she knows me, she knew I’d probably have a whole story behind it. 😂 Anyone who truly knows me knows I have a ridiculously big heart. I love deeply, I care deeply, and I give a lot of myself to the people I love. But whew… this heart has also seen more than its fair share of heartbreak. 💔 And somehow, after all of it, my heart is still soft. Still hopeful. Still capable of loving deeply. I think that may be one of my favorite things about myself. Hello 50! As I reflect on this milestone birthday, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude—not just for the years I’ve been given, but for the people, places, and experiences that have filled them with purpose and meaning. At 50, I have learned that success is not measured by titles, achievements, or possessions. It is measured by the lives we touch, the relationships we nurture, the faith we hold onto during difficult times, and the love we give and receive along the way. I am grateful for every chapter of my story—the easy ones and the hard ones. For the family who loves me, the friends who have walked beside me and every person who has left a footprint on my heart. Most of all, I am grateful for a God who has never left me. A God who has guided me through every season, carried me through every storm, and shown me time and time again that His plans are greater than my own. I celebrate not just turning 50, but the incredible journey that brought me here. My heart is full. My faith is stronger. This girl went from I want a Moana birthday theme to K-Pop Demon Hunters. so I pulled everything together in a matter of 7 days with the cupcake cake (always from Cindy), the Etsy outfit, hair from Amazon plus the purple Wax, decorations, and the surprise visit from her girl Rumi the superstar with @southernbelleprincessparties ! It all ended with a “I love you so much mommy 4 ever and ever! You’re my best friend” ..so that means I did good, right? Thanks to her pre-K school for helping me pull this off too! I’m TIIIIIRED! Besties PLEASE don’t get my BEST pictures and make a dating profile that says something like: “Okay, so here’s the deal… She’s a therapist, so yes, she’ll probably ask how you’re really doing. 😂 She’s the kind of person who genuinely listens, remembers the little things, and makes people feel safe just by being herself. She’s also the type to randomly send you memes, check in on you, and make sure you feel appreciated. She’s healed enough to know what she deserves, so consistency, kindness, honesty, and effort aren’t optional, they’re the standard. She values emotional maturity, accountability, and someone who can communicate openly and respectfully. She’ll hype up your dreams, pray for you, cheer you on, and be your biggest supporter. Just don’t play games with her heart, because she’s retired from accepting the bare minimum. She doesn’t need someone to complete her, she’s looking for someone to build a beautiful life with. So if you’re kind, emotionally mature, love God, communicate well, and you’re ready for a healthy, peaceful love… congratulations.
