This day in 1991, the film magazine Cine Blitz made a fool of its readers by placing on its cover a photograph of a Sridevi look-alike who they claimed was her unknown sister. The ‘sister’ turned out to be @anupampkher!

I am deeply honoured and grateful that Kajol, one of Bollywood’s most respected and loved stars, has shared such kind words about me and my work in this moment.

2025 has been an unusual yet deeply meaningful year for me. To be recognised for over 40 years behind the salon chair and within the fashion and beauty world is truly humbling. For me, the salon was never a nine-to-five job. It was always part of a much wider creative fashion and beauty journey.

Over time, that journey placed me among the highest levels of global creative industries. I have had the privilege of working across film, fashion, beauty, royalty, and world leaders. This was never by chance, but through craft, vision, trust, and a belief in highlighting a person’s beauty, structure, and individuality rather than simply trimming hair.

I am grateful for the journey, the people, and the recognition, and I look ahead with quiet excitement to what 2026 may bring.
