Ashley + Brian at the Four Seasons ❤️

This one was a long time in the making with so many thoughtful details planned along the way. It all came together so beautifully, from our acoustic strings for ceremony and cocktails to DJ Jenny and Claudia on the violin for the reception.

These photos capture just how stunning the wedding was, but they also capture something we loved just as much: Ashley and Brian having the absolute time of their lives.

Inside the Painting | Angela + Kelsey, Part III

The ceremony introduced us to the painting.

For the reception, they took us completely inside it.

Dreamy green silk enveloped the room as lighting and imagery transformed the space. Monet’s artwork was projected throughout the reception, surrounding their guests in color, flowers and light.

And because this wedding deserved just a little more art, Angela’s Mom had a surprise waiting for the Bride and Bride… Watercolor artist @kristenbakerstudio Painting each couple throughout the evening and creating individual pieces of art for their guests to take home.

Then Angela and Kelsey took the dance floor.

With clouds beneath their feet, their first dance felt almost dreamlike, as though they had disappeared into a world entirely their own.

And then came the words from the people who know them best.

Angela’s dad’s speech was beautiful and heartfelt, and both of their sisters spoke about the qualities that make these two so special. Angela’s adventurous spirit. Kelsey’s support and her willingness to jump right in beside Angela for whatever adventure comes next.

After spending the entire weekend with their families, it was easy to understand where their warmth comes from. Both families were an absolute delight, and the love surrounding Angela and Kelsey was felt everywhere.

What a beautiful weekend.

Just the Two of Them | Angela + Kelsey, Part II
After the ceremony, the florals that had transformed the aisle became the backdrop for Angela and Kelsey’s portraits, giving us another opportunity to photograph them inside the painterly world created for their day.
But there was another part of the portrait story that felt even more personal.
Angela and Kelsey own a farm, and having animals be part of their wedding photographs was important to them. They brought in a beautiful pair of horses for their portraits, adding a piece of their everyday life to a day filled with extraordinary details.
That is what I loved most about photographing these two. Beneath all of the beauty, they are funny, playful, adventurous, genuine and incredibly kind. They make each other laugh, and there is an ease between them that you can simply feel.
The beautiful details tell the story of a wedding, but portraits preserve something different. They preserve who you were together in that moment.
For Angela and Kelsey, that meant flowers inspired by Monet, two beautiful horses, a little adventure and a whole lot of laughter.
Completely them.

Walking Into a Painting | Angela + Kelsey, Part I

After such a beautiful rehearsal dinner, we could not wait to see what Angela and Kelsey’s wedding day would hold.
Their families had envisioned a beautiful garden wedding. When Sonja, their planner and designer, began sharing that vision with the florist and designer, she described it with one simple thought: “I want them to feel like they are walking into a Monet painting.”
That one sentence became the inspiration for something absolutely extraordinary.
From the beginning of the day, there was so much excitement surrounding these two. Getting ready with their families, the anticipation of what was ahead, and all of those little moments before everything officially began.
With a team of vendors completely all in on the vision, The Ryland Inn was transformed into the garden they had imagined. Overflowing florals in a palette pulled directly from Monet seemed to grow around the ceremony space. Flowers curved along the rounded aisle, creating a path that led to Angela, standing at the altar waiting for her bride.
Then Kelsey appeared.
For a moment, everything else seemed to disappear.
It was romantic, painterly and completely immersive. Not simply a wedding inspired by a painting, but a painting they could actually step inside.
And at the center of it all were Angela and Kelsey.

A beautiful beginning to Angela & Kelsey’s wedding weekend at the historic Ryland Inn Tavern and an extra special celebration because it was also Kelsey’s birthday.
Sweet wildflowers, sprigs of rosemary setting on each menu, and the warmth and character of the Tavern set the scene for the evening. From the historic details to the beautiful rounded bar with just a hint of a speakeasy feel, every corner felt intimate and full of charm.
And then came the sweetest surprise. Angela surprised Kelsey with the large, custom carrot birthday cake she had always dreamed of. The perfect way to celebrate a birthday in the beginning of an already unforgettable weekend.
Angela and Kelsey are joyful, incredibly funny, and when they look at each other, somehow the rest of the world seems to fade away.
After such a wonderful evening with the people they love most, I can’t wait to see what today holds.
Angela & Kelsey, it’s your wedding day!
