Using the @godox_global F800R as our Key Light for our last shoot!

We shot inside this tent with very little room to move around or set anything up, but we knew we wanted a big soft light.

Usually to do this we would have to setup a 4x4 frame and then place a light behind it, but this task was impossible due to the lack of space inside this tent.

And that’s where the F800R made by @godox_global & @knowled_global came in!

The F800R is a flexible 4x4 fully RGBWW panel, that when fully built is less than a foot thick

We setup the F800R on its frame and then added a layer of diffusion over it as well as the control grid.

This allowed us to get a really big soft light, that’s still controlled, and has a very small footprint.

We setup the F800R on a Lowboy stand and placed it inside the tent to Key our Actors during their dialogue scene.

If you wanna know how bright the F800R is, we ran it at maybe 17-18% because that’s all we needed!

We had it hooked up to an EcoFlow for several hours and still had plenty of battery left over which shows how power efficient this light is.

This was a great example of new tools allowing us to do something that we couldn’t do before and allowing us to place lights in places where there was never enough room to do something

Using the @knowled_global MG4KR on set with the @godox_global GP5 Softbox 🔥

The MG4KR is an absolute game changer of a lamp.

It provides me with an output that’s equivalent to a 4K HMI, while its max power draw is only 3100w, which allows me to use it with household power!

Since this is the 4KR, it means it’s a full RGB lamp, so I also get all the color possibilities in addition to the high power output.

The 110° beam angle of this light ensures that this GP5 Softbox is filled out evenly, and provides a beautiful soft light.

For this scene we used this setup outside in the shade.

Our problem was that the background was really hot from the direct sun beating down on it.

And the MG4KR had enough power to help us balance everything out and make sure that we can get the correct exposure on both our actors as well as our background
