I’d like to thank @beatcave.ca for such a wonderful experience, I got the chance to collaborate and create with artists, producers, and engineers from so many different walks of life.

When it comes to my artistic passions, my creative spark has been lost for a long time now and within these 3 days that spark came out from the dark and was brought back into the light.

It’s so amazing to see what can be done when you put groups of pain and passion into different rooms together. I am so grateful I got to meet so many talented people and can’t wait to see what the future holds for all of us!

They said I was like a moth to a light💡! I can’t help it when I hear a beat. It really be like that.

@beatcave.ca was gracious enough to ask me to contribute to their unparalleled artist camp at @soundhousestudios a few days ago. I got right to work in the hip hop room w/ @sarafinmusic & @cinfamous cooking and engineering the session in a room filled with hitters.

We wrote and recorded 2 songs in the time I was there and I got to listen to some incredible artists and their new work. It’s the best music industry networking event in the city and I will always lend my time to something that truly understands artist needs.

Much love to the whole team and especially @amberjmusic for always considering me. (should we break the record?)

Meet Clarence “C-Infamous” Au, one of the producers and engineers joining us at CAMP Vancouver!

From New York to Tokyo, Los Angeles to Taipei, Vancouver to Hong Kong, Clarence has built an international career composing, producing and engineering music alongside artists across genres, backgrounds and stages of their careers.

But beyond his experience in the studio, what makes Clarence such a great fit for CAMP is his commitment to helping the next generation of artists grow.

Most recently serving as a mentor for the Music BC ARC Program, he's passionate about helping artists develop professionally while bringing out the best in them creatively.

And in an industry increasingly obsessed with streams, clicks, algorithms and AI, Clarence brings an important reminder into the room.

The best music still comes from people expressing something real.

It's about finding your sound, trusting your instincts, experimenting with other creatives and making records that actually mean something to you.

That philosophy is at the heart of everything we're building with CAMP. Bringing together people who care just as much about the creative process and the people behind the music as they do about the finished record.

Any producers / sample based artists in the greater Vancouver area down to get a stack of records to sample and make something from, and then pass over to the next homie to sample and flip also? And we keep repeating the process.

It will be cool to see what each person picks to use and what they come up with..

It’s bacislly like a rhythm roulette chain mail with a stack of records...

Hit me up to get involved.. I definitely got some wax for you..
You just gotta make something with the records.

It can be a beat, a dj routine, scratching a sound from one of them, and share back a clip with us to post up..
The goal is to use as many records in the stack as possible, share back multiple beats or clips if you can, share beat breakdown videos even. Im here for all that..
