Happy Labor Day weekend, neighbors & friends! 🇺🇸 Thank you for supporting our small Yardley based businesses all summer long—you kept patios buzzing, shops thriving, and our town shining. As we shift into back-to-school mode, Visit Yardley invites you to finish strong: pop in for last-minute supplies and fall décor, grab an açaí bowl, latte, or sweet treat, and snag the accessory that completes that first-day outfit (or the perfect porch-photo pillows!). Every time you shop, sip, or stroll local, you’re keeping Yardley vibrant. 💛 #yardleypa #yardley #yardleyboro #yardleyborough #lowermakefieldpa #yardleylivingbvm #lowermakefieldisagreatplacetolive #lowermakefieldtownship #yardleytown #visityardley #yardleylife #yardleynewtownpa #newtownpa #washingtoncrossingpa #yardley19067 #19067

📣 YARDLEY BOROUGH – BUCKS COUNTY, PA HISTORY IN THE SPOTLIGHT! 🎥 Watch here: https://pcnselect.com/videoplayer.php?id=6376836049112... I’m honored and grateful to share that Gather Place Museum is featured in the Pennsylvania Cable Network’s (PCN.TV) acclaimed *The African American Experience* series! First aired last night and airing all month, this 30-minute interview is now permanently archived in Pennsylvania’s historical records. Filmed in historic Yardley Borough, the segment shares the story of our headquarters—the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) landmark church (est. 1877), the nearly forgotten African American community, this church property’s legacy ownership, here since 1682, and its founding family - The Yardley’s. This milestone comes as we launch our America 250th Celebration Programs, proudly supported by the America250PA SemiQuin Grant and Bucks County Tourism Grant. Our signature initiative—Celebrating 250 Years of Resilience in Pursuit of Liberty, Justice, and Equality™—features History Hunt For Me™, a 2-hour interactive pop-up museum with life-size historic figures, clue hunts, QR-linked lessons, and live costumed history makers. 📞 Now booking for 2026 – Host at your location or visit us at Gather Place Museum in historic Yardley. 📸: @cinloufa 📧 info@gatherplace.org 📱 215.595.2722 🌐 https://gatherplace.org/our-programs Thank you to our visitors, supporters, and partners. We’re also creating new scripts that spotlight the untold stories of American history makers from the past—whose legacies continue to shape our nation. 📸 Meet our newest volunteers (see attached photos): Katherine, Lois, Iyana, Renai, Pat, and Helen – already helping us bring these powerful stories to life! I was honored to receive an invitation from Borough resident @cinloufa to witness the unveiling of the name of the Yardley Owl and help spread the word on social media 🦉 Cindy & Lampros Fatsis commissioned Slava Kuzema of Philadelphia (carvedlion.com) to create this masterpiece on N. Main Street. Over 130 people suggested names for the Owl over a 2-week period, and, in the end, it was Herb’s suggestion of “Wisely” that stuck. I am not only thrilled to see homeowners proactively removing diseased or dead trees before they fall into the roadways and/or knock out power to large swaths of the Borough, it’s especially wonderful that Cindy & Lampros created such a fun work of art for all to enjoy.

A few behind-the-scenes photos of the unveiling of the Yardley Owl’s name: There were 130 entries, but in the end, it was Herb’s suggestion of Wisely that stuck! 🦉 Cindy & Lampros Fatsis would like to thank everyone who helped name the Owl and are so happy it’s brought joy to so many folks as they drive down Main Street
