PIERCE BROSNAN E I RUMOR SU JAMES BOND (1987)

Funny story actually; during this time Stallone was filming “Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot” (1992). In a famous incident, Schwarzenegger was offered the script for the buddy cop comedy, recognized it was a "disaster", and feigned intense interest to trick his rival into taking the part. Stallone took the bait to prevent Schwarzenegger from getting "what he perceived to be a great role" and later regretted the critically panned film. 🍧

Still one of my favorite films of all time. I love the powerfully nuanced performances from both Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster. This is a perfect example of how incredible a performance can be when you make clear, strong choices and take some big risks. They each brought needs, doubts, and obstacles to their characters that fueled such a delicate connection between one another. Despite the uncertainty, the threat and the fear, there was respect and dare I say, a bond? Yes. I dared! I said it! Two very different people who shared an unlikely bond. Brilliant film!

Posted @withregram • @cinneman Christopher Lee on Bond villains.

What a life. As far as I know, both Christopher and Ian Fleming served during World War II. Both men served in British intelligence, with Fleming working for Naval Intelligence and Lee serving in the Special Operations Executive (SOE). They are both very well versed in espionage missions, I would imagine!
Christopher Lee would later portray the villainous Scaramanga in the James Bond film "The Man with the Golden Gun" (1974), based on Fleming's novel of the same name.
