D’s of the Devil: Disinformation 👿 Fellow warriors, soldiers in the army of Christ! ⚔️ As we grow in allegiance to our Commander, JESUS CHRIST, and nurture the HOLY SPIRIT within, our awareness on the battlefield must stay razor-sharp. The enemy, the father of lies (John 8:44); is a master of Disinformation. Not just fake news, but spiritually weaponized falsehoods aimed at sabotaging faith and fracturing fellowship. he whispers:
👉 “God isn’t truly good.”
👉 “Scripture is outdated.” 📖
👉 “Your sins disqualify you.”
👉 “That brother can’t be trusted.” This isn’t random. It’s a coordinated strategy. 😈 Aimed to confuse, divide, isolate, and derail your walk. How do we fight back? 🛡️ 1. Be Rooted in the Word: Study the Bible daily. Know the Truth so you spot the fake. 🙏 2. Rely on the Spirit: Pray for wisdom (James 1:5). Trust the Spirit (John 16:13) to guide and warn. 🧠 3. Think Critically: Be like the Bereans (Acts 17:11). Test teachings against Scripture. 🤝 4. Stay in Community: Talk through confusing doctrines with grounded believers. Iron sharpens iron (Prov. 27:17). 🌱 5. Examine the Fruit: Does the message point to Christlike love, unity, and truth; or pride, fear, and division? Spiritual disinformation operates subtle; through worldly ideas, distorted scripture, gossip, and inner doubt. Its goal is to erode our trust, isolate us, and sever our link to God’s truth. But we’re not defenseless. We’ve been equipped. We’ve been called. 📣 STAY STEADFAST. STAND FIRM. SUPPORT EACH OTHER IN TRUTH. 💪❤️🎯

🍽️ Ever feel like we’re doing it all alone in the restaurant and [FOOD] business world?
Here’s the truth: we are not meant to.
Sustainable success isn’t a solo act; it takes a village. 🌱 Whether we’re running a food truck, a full-service concept, or launching our first CPG product; building our restaurant ecosystem is key to resilience, clarity, and growth. Let’s break down our village: 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 1. Our Internal Village – The Team.
This is ground zero. Our Front of House, Back of House, and leadership team must move as one. Team cohesion, communication, and mutual respect directly impact guest experience, daily flow, and long-term survival. Culture isn’t a luxury; it’s operational strategy. 🔗 2. Our Supply Village – Partners & Purveyors. Think beyond transactions.
Vendors, farmers, service providers, tech partners ; they’re part of our crew.
When we build trust, share goals, and communicate clearly, these partners show up for us during crunch time. And when they’re local? Even better. It’s good for the community; and our brand’s story. 🏘️ 3. Our Community Village – Guests & Neighbors. We’re not just in the community; we’re part of it. Sponsor a youth team. Join a local event. Partner with the bookstore next door. This kind of visibility builds reputation, loyalty, and trust. It’s not marketing. It’s belonging. 🤝 4. Our Support Village – Peers & Mentors. Don’t isolate. Join groups. Find mentors. Talk shop with fellow restaurateurs. Shared wisdom, encouragement, and accountability can save our business ; and our sanity. …
 As the proverb says:
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” … We don’t need to carry it all.
But we do need to cultivate our villages and keep them strong. 💪 …
We must ask ourselves:
Where does our village need strengthening right now?
Start there. Grow from there. Together we’ve got this. #gorillabrave

🍎 The Foundation of Clarity: Embracing Franklin’s Temperance 🍎 Let’s begin our journey through Benjamin Franklin’s 13 Virtues with the bedrock principle: TEMPERANCE. “Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.” This isn’t just about food or drink. It’s a profound call for moderation and self-awareness in how we consume everything… From information 💻 and entertainment 📱to emotions, work, and even ambition. In a world flooded with stimulation and instant gratification, Franklin’s wisdom rings louder than ever. Temperance invites us to move beyond mindless indulgence and cultivate conscious control. Why does this matter? 🤔
Because overconsumption, whether of food, media, alcohol, or busyness; clouds judgment, drains energy, and blurs our sense of purpose.
Dullness isn’t just physical. It’s mental fog, emotional reactivity, and a loss of clarity.
Elevation sought through excess leads to burnout, poor decisions, and eventual depletion. True elevation?
It comes from presence, purpose, and peaceful power; not from artificial highs. Practicing Temperance is an act of self-respect. It means listening to your body’s real needs; not just urges. It’s recognizing when enough is enough ✋ It’s pausing before overcommitting. It’s choosing water 💧 over soda, presence over autopilot, rest over mindless hustle. Temperance clears the path for every other virtu…
Without clarity, how can we practice Order, Industry, or Resolution? This is how we reclaim our focus, our health, and our effectiveness. 💪
It’s how we live deliberately, not reactively. Today, ask yourself:
📟 How can I honor Temperance right now?
📵 Limit screen time?
🥗 Eat slowly and mindfully?
🛑 Pause before saying “yes” too quickly? Small, intentional choices lead to massive self-mastery. Let’s reclaim the energy to live fully, not frantically. ⚖️✨ #gorillabrave

Is your restaurant’s or [FOOD] business’ communication telling the full story? It’s not just what we say; it’s everything we do. Showmanship is part of the food game now.
From the words we speak to the ambiance we create, every detail matters.
Mastering verbal and non-verbal cues is essential to crafting an unforgettable guest experience. … 🗣️ Verbal Cues (The Spoken Word)
This is the direct line.
The warmth in our greeting. The clarity in your menu descriptions. The empathy we show during complaints. Whether it’s face-to-face or online, make sure your team speaks clearly and with the brand’s voice at every touchpoint. A warm, welcoming greeting sets the stage for everything that follows. … 🤫 Non-Verbal Cues (The Unspoken Language)
Sometimes, what we don’t say is even more powerful. Your space [servicescape] isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a chance to feel your brand. Lighting, layout, music, cleanliness; they all tell a story before your team even speaks. A smile, eye contact, open posture [staff body language]; these convey warmth, trust, and competence. But slouching or avoiding eye contact? It speaks volumes of a different kind. Clean uniforms and neat grooming [Branded Appearance]? Professionalism. Timely service? Respect. It’s in the details. … 💫 The Power of Consistency
True magic happens when verbal and non-verbal cues align. A warm greeting paired with a genuine smile? Powerful.
An elegant atmosphere supported by attentive servers? Memorable.
But inconsistencies like rushed service in a relaxed environment or friendly words paired with stressed body language; creates confusion and weakens our brands’ messages. Customer service is ultimately about how we make guests feel.
And those feelings are shaped by both the said and the unsaid. Be intentional about orchestrating all our communication cues.
Train our teams, refine our spaces, and always make sure our restaurants communicate the excellence and hospitality we stand for. #GorillaBrave

Running a restaurant is more than just food and service.
It’s grit. It’s heart. It’s showing up when no one claps. The daily grind can consume us—orders, staffing, fires to put out. But real, sustainable success? That lives beyond the urgent. It’s built on what I call the 4 Strategic Building Blocks: ✨ Impact + Influence You already impact your team, your neighborhood, your guests. So shape it intentionally. Partner with local causes, give more than you take, and commit to service that turns regulars into raving fans. Influence isn’t about being loud—it’s about being trusted. 📚 Knowledge + Growth
The industry never stops moving, so neither should we. Document your wins. Learn from the losses. Share best practices with your team. Stay curious. Growth isn’t always glamorous—but it’s always worth it. 🤝 Fellowship + Accountability
You don’t have to do this alone. Connect with others who get it. Build friendships with fellow owners, mentors, and your own crew. And when things get tough, accountability and honest feedback hold it all together. 🌍 Exposure + Experience
Step outside your bubble. Visit other restaurants. Join industry groups. Every new perspective sharpens your own. Learn from those ahead, those beside you, and yes—even those behind you. There’s wisdom everywhere. These four building blocks? They’re not extras. They’re essential ingredients for a restaurant that outlasts trends and leaves a mark. Your story matters.
Build it on purpose.

All that was left of me was my voice and my relationship with GOD… This microphone I have built a bond with over the last three years would become my salvation. A voice, an energy, a gift, and a purpose misdirected and unused until my jar was emptied completely and the HOLY SPIRIT was able to enter first and take up every crack and crevice possible… A human cleaning that is representative of choosing baptism by allowing GOD to fill every part of us, FIRST. GOD would take a shy, broken, and introverted child and turned HIM into a healing, growing, loving (and still imperfect) human with a microphone… And then ask this human to turn up the volume.. “GOD, how am I ever going to explain to any human the magnitude of what you are asking me to create?” “… Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” - Ephesians 6:10-18 [NIV]. There is no separation between spirituality and reality as a [FOOD] entrepreneur when we influence and impact more humans, animals, and plants than an other humans on this planet. What if work was truly worship as intended in the Bible? … Starving for more Purpose as an Entrepreneur? FEED the GORILLA WITHIN at GorillaBrave. … 📸: @rmk.visions

Break me down, to build me up. “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that; hate cannot drive out hate; only light can do that.” - Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. What happens when we make listening our priority every day. GOD uses all things for good when we pursue HIM, that does not mean good is not happening in this moment; there is free will. Anyone who feels broken, beaten, damned, or full of sin… My test that led to my testimony started in a 13 Month Fellowship with 18 Men meeting weekly and spending time daily in the word of GOD ( @missionhillsco ). This program is called Regeneration ( @watermarkchurch ) and I rebelled… I was disobedient…and died on a lot of hills during those months. 9 months in I started living in Silence. Saying only what was needed to be said and what led to growth in the world around me. 40 days and nights of silence with GOD became 7 months. GOD did something funny in my dark night of my soul. HE rebuilt me… regenerated me … totally transformed me. Knowledge started pouring out of my head in organized ways to give it away to the masses. GOD took the pieces of my past that matter and rebuilt them into me so I can serve GOD’s future. The result is the last 7 months of me organizing everything I know about food, beverage, food trucks, restaurants, food service, co-packing, commissaries, regenerative farming, etc into essays and then into a place for fellowship. This place sat on my heart for a long time. But it sat, so my soul could catch up. The result @gorillabrave … Knowledge of 28 years of business and entrepreneurship dumped into daily doses. This is how we bring light… Growing one another for the purpose of a greater legacy and future… Glorifying GOD along the way. So, GOD combined skills! Old skills merged with the armor and weapons of GOD, especially the Bible!!! He is the real CEO… and serving HIM + being HIS warrior = universal abundance. My advice: Say less, Listen more. Do less, Serve more. Grow Humans, Humans Grow the World. Smile, It Gets Better. Have Faith, Trust in The Plan. Be Kind, Light Creeps in through the Smallest Cracks. … To be continued. … 📸: @rmk.visions
