Circle Paints - Paints that don't cost the Earth

One of my goals for this year was to paint a solo mural. In June I finished this 20 meter beauty called Poppies and Peas for Lewisham Primary School with paints provided by @circlepaintsreuse and @reseneaustralia. The mural was partly funded by Veterans NSW under the brief of remembrance. They were keen to have a red poppy feature in the mural.

Poppies & Peas brings together two symbols of remembrance- the red poppy and the Australian sturt desert pea. The pea honors the wars fought on Australian soil and the Indigenous soldiers who fought overseas. The flowing stems and chalk swirls slowly fade and transform into red earth, connecting my artwork with the existing rainbow serpent mural at the other end of the wall.

It was important to me that this artwork is grounding and peaceful for the students - there are no reds or black, everything is a shade of orange and purple. I hope the muted colors bring a sense of calm to the students as they walk past and help their minds wander a little bit off the beaten path.

For me remembrance is about truth telling, a love of homeland and remembering those who left home and did not return.

Spring is here and we’re thinking about sustainable home improvements (and food…) 🛠️ So join us on a tour of some great places to save money and the planet, while doing those odd jobs around the house. We’ll learn about the all the equipment available at the @iwtoollibrary before visiting @amongthetrees.sydney and @circlepaintsreuse for reclaimed timber and paints 🪵 🎨

We’ll refuel along the way at @onemorechocolates and the @marrickvilleparkgeneralstore, before wrapping up around midday at the recently reopened @carlislecastlehotel 🍫 🍻

Join us this Saturday, 12th September 2026 at 8:30am at the playground near Australia Street in Camperdown Memorial Park.

Excited to finally share some shots of my Perfect Match mural ‘Bright Moments’ painted for @innerwestcouncil in Marrickville earlier this year.

Inspired by my daily observations strolling around Enmore, I wanted to celebrate the quieter side of the area. This piece draws on the many simple yet beautiful moments that can often go unnoticed - plants against concrete, shifting shadows, sunset skies and the layered details of its streets.

For me, it’s slowing down and appreciating these ordinary little things that make the Inner West feel like home.

Big thanks to @innerwestcouncil for this opportunity. It felt pretty special to have the chance to paint this piece in my neighbourhood!

Thank you @circlepaintsreuse for the supplies and caring for our environment, thanks for the stella assist @karlahayes___ @kimsiewdrawsthings 😘😘 and many thanks to the very lovely family who let me paint up this beaut of a lengthy wall.

A massive thank you to all the staff @elevateclimbingvillawood for the opportunity to bring this mural to life. Being trusted to step into a space and create freely made the whole process that much easier. Thanks always for all your patience and your continued support.
A special mentioned once again to the wonderful team @circlepaintsreuse for generously providing the paints, I look forward to collaborating together on many more projects in the future.
Every large-scale mural teaches me something new. It challenges me to think differently, explore new techniques, and continue to grow as an artist. Seeing this artwork come together at this scale was incredibly rewarding, and I had so much fun creating it.

This bathroom is tiny.

And yet somehow it has developed a superiority complex.

It's recycling water. From the shower and basin. Back into my garden and washing machine.

Running on rainwater. 10,000 litres.

Not connected to the sewer. An incinerating toilet.

Covered in hand printed, low-tox wallpaper.

Filled with handmade tiles that I prefer not to think about financially.

And populated by a rotating cast of plants in pink upcycled pots painted with salvaged paint.

If you'd told me ten years ago I'd be giving strangers tours of my incinerating toilet, I'd have had some questions.

Actually, I still have some questions.

People seem to think sustainable homes should look a bit like a hippy log cabin.

I chose moody wallpaper and pink pots instead.

Where's the fun in being sensible?

Thanks for the gorgeous colours @circlepaintsreuse

Poppy and Desert Pea remembrance mural is underway at Lewisham Public School, funded in part by Veterans NSW.

Feeling all the feels- proud, grateful and a bit vulnerable. More to say later, but for now big sleep.

My largest artwork to date, a project that challenged me in many ways, but one that I truly enjoyed from beginning to end.
A big thank you to all the staff @elevateclimbingvillawood for the support, patience, and kindness throughout the project, and allowing me the creative freedom to bring this mural to life.
Also, a special mention to the wonderful team @circlepaintsreuse for supplying such amazing paints, and for all your guidance and knowledge - I support the positive work your team is doing towards helping the environment.

This artwork was such a rewarding experience, and I look forward to the challenges painting at this scale again 🙏🏽✌🏽

Ahahaha Haha yeah I dream occasionally of a 69 goddess or an old Chevrolet, a 30’s rolls or a 60’s jag but as dad used to say you can’t beat a Corolla…the things I’ve moved on its roof, the tracks I’ve driven down, the creeks forded, soil and plants carried, she always sees me through. Plus the best part is my sister used to own it so good sissy vibes. 😍#toyotacorollas #sisterssupportingsisters #reallifeshit #muralartists #mumlife

Here’s most of the finished mural at Bayside highschool. Loved creating this. Murals are such a great way for me to interact with and give to community, a great balance to teaching in my art school Art classes with Rose and the hours spent designing my eco friendly reusable wall sticker kits designed for open play. Loving my life. Hope you’re creating the life you want. #bespokelife #bespokelifestyle #createyourdreams #carpedi̇em #rainbowfamilies
