💙💚💙 2016 was a big year for me…

Shift from Vegas to North Carolina

My hair was purple then.

I also opened my first show in Australia, @circus1903 with @helloangelaaaron

I started traveling a lot more for work and this was the first time I tried living completely off of my business and not working at another show.

I even tried to take a break from work for a month…I don’t think I made it that long…lol

I’m so thankful I moved to NC! I love it out here. Even though life looks very different these days, this was the beginning of a big chapter and I’m still very connected to Vegas. - and Australia. In different ways.

Common Jugglers Stage Problems

1. Blinding Stage Lights
The lights are often shining directly into your eyes from all directions. Everyone knows how hard it is to see after looking into a strong light — now imagine your job is to look up toward those lights the entire time. It's like catching reflections and glares ("sunspots") throughout the act.

2. Dirty Stage and Dust
A dusty stage is a real nightmare. When you're lying on the floor, doing acrobatics, or even just when your props are placed on the ground before the act — that dust ends up on your face or in your eyes. One speck in the eye can ruin your focus for the whole performance.

3. No Space for Proper Warm-Up
Often, there's no space with enough height for a full warm-up. Dressing rooms and hallways don’t allow for seven-ball practice or even basic tosses. So we end up kneeling, dodging obstacles, or running around looking for a small corner just to get our throws in.

4. Overheating and Sweaty Hands
If the venue is even slightly warm, hands begin to sweat — and suddenly, everything slips. Even with a layer of rosin or chalk, it might not be enough. Losing grip mid-act is a common and frustrating issue.

5. Changes in Light Positioning
Jugglers are extremely sensitive to lighting. Even a slight change in the angle of one spotlight can throw off visibility and timing. We notice it instantly — it matters more than most people realize.

6. Hair in the Eyes
Working with loose hair might look good — until you start sweating. Once your hair starts sticking to your face or falling into your eyes, there's no way to fix it gracefully during the act. It becomes both a distraction and a visibility issue.
