In Residency for ‘Tyr Auf!‘ - Week N•6
@perplx.be

Preparing for @circusnext selection of Laureates coming September in Paris @theatredelaciteinternationale

TYR AUF! • Opening doors!
Tyr Auf! is a contemporary circus piece that explores different ways to unlock closed doors, we carry within our minds. By casting new lights on old patterns, bending Cyr wheel metal and gender roles, it ironically encourages, that even when the door finally swings open, there is still much to discover by climbing through the window.

As a traveling hooper, I am constantly on the move—shifting from home to contracts, hotels, and ships. Whether I’m in a car, taxi, plane, or train, solid organization is a must to ensure I arrive safely with my props.
Traveling with 50 hoops can be a real challenge; they are heavy, yet surprisingly fragile, made of delicate plastics and tapes. Since I started using my Circus2Cover bag 6 months ago, everything has become so much easier. It provides the ultimate protection for my « babies » while making the logistics of tour life seamless! ⭕️✈️
Check them out at @circuscovered

Special thanks to @carlospazos.1827 for the photos !

THE ULTIMATE HULA HOOP BAG FOR PROFESSIONAL TRAVELERS

For anyone who performs, trains, and moves as much as I do, finding the right hoop bag is more than a convenience—it’s a necessity. This bag from @circuscovered has become one of the most reliable pieces of equipment I own.

It is exceptionally comfortable to carry, even on long travel days, and designed with multiple handles so you can lift, grab, or shoulder it from any angle. Whether I’m navigating airports, train stations, or loading in and out of cars, it adapts effortlessly.

The construction is incredibly smart:
— 4 functional zips
• Two on the outside, allowing you to take your hoops out quickly without opening the entire bag.
• Two on the inside, letting you detach the front panel when you simply want to store your hoops and access them with ease.

Every bag is custom-made to the exact size of your hoops, ensuring a perfect fit and professional-level protection.

As someone who travels and practices continuously, this bag has genuinely been a game changer—streamlined, durable, and designed for real circus life.

🎪 Workshops full of insights and inspiration! The second day of workshops at the GRANDE FINALE offered a wealth of expertise from the international circus world:

👉 In the workshop “Professional Integration in Circus Arts,” Isabel Joly (FEDEC) showed how circus schools prepare their graduates for the market, from mentoring to networking.

👉 In “Real Voices, Real Journeys,” Urs Jäckle (Krystallpalast Leipzig) moderated an open discussion with former YOUNG STAGE artists: real stories about hurdles, lessons learned, and the long road to the big stage.

💡 These were two exciting sessions that showed how to combine artistic talent with real industry practice.
