I love these designs on the shoulders as it highlights them and the design pops literally like a mysterious flower out in the wild.

Losing our minds at the support this fundraiser has received - thank you to each and every one of you that attended, shared and donated.

A massive thank you to @rachel__bustermoomi for the initiative and curating of a fantastic line up. To @_mishmash and @cirquejoel for being the most gracious compare and rigger, accessible teachers @tamsinmaebuchanan and @yaymoolay for being the glue figuratively and literally (rhinestones didn’t see them coming) and finally to every performer in order of appearance:
Meg
Nathan
Olivia
Claire
Tamsin
Julie
Giséle
Alex
Camille
Raph
Floriane
Molly
Orsi
Kristina
👏👏 this amount allows for so many more opportunities to get as many bodies as possible, into the air! There doesn’t need to be pity - only party as we celebrate inclusive sport!
What a SCRATCH 🥳🥳

Gotta post this before I overthink about the fact that the tech was better (how high do you want that footlock Tam?🙃🤡)

Had an absolute laugh throwing this Spanish web piece ‘where’s the rum?’ together last minute for our Open Aerial fundraiser scratch night @flyingfantastic
So immensely proud of our accessible aerial squad who performed for the first time last night @megrozfozz @alex.___.king @lovelilithh you should be SO proud of yourselves! 🫶✨

Thanks to @cirquejoel for doing all of the hard work for me 🌪️💪🏻

There’s definitely a boat load more people I need to thank for last night, but my half blind self has had 10x the screen time it needs trying to put 2 videos together, so thank you & love you all 🫶

Buckle in friends, this will be a long one... 🎪✨

Last night I achieved something I wasn’t sure I’d be able to do. I did my debut trapeze performance at the @flyingfantastic “No pity, just party” scratch night — channelling Cruella de Vil, because if you’re going to throw yourself around a bar, you may as well do it with a bit of drama 🖤 Set to “Pretty Little Dead Things” from Paddington the Musical… which felt appropriately unhinged. @paddingtonthemusical casting team, I’m available (just saying ✌🏼)

I went to my first scratch night back in September with Tams to get inspired… and left significantly more scared. I very much thought, “nope, absolutely not for me.” But when I heard about this one, organised by @rachel__bustermoomi , was raising money for Open Aerial, a charity making aerial more accessible, I couldn’t roll away from that.

This wasn’t just about the tricks. Doing trapeze makes me feel free. I absolutely love it, and I was so excited to share that love with everyone. It was also about getting out of my own head, trusting myself, and following something through even when it felt overwhelming. There were moments I didn’t think I’d make it to the stage… but I did. And I’m really proud of that. I also need to immortalise the comments from my family which generally went along the lines of “we knew you were good at trapeze but we didn’t know you were THAT good” 🥹 (nor did I to be honest)

(Also, hoping this means the scratch night anxiety dreams can stop now… 😂)

I very much did not do this alone and my thank you’s are in the comments because my caption is too long haha.

I also feel the need to apologise to everyone I invited… because I fully thought this would be a one-off, so obviously I told everyone to come including my mum @judith_mary_king , my brothers @seb_k_waddup and @bkqwerty158 , and godsister @lianethornton (who all very kindly showed up anyway).

Slight plot twist: I actually had the best time. So… this may not be a one-off after all.

Consider this your warning — I’ll be back 🖤💋
