THE DENVER DRILL A classic firefighter-down drill in honor of Firefighter Mark Langvardt of the Denver Fire Department. This drill simulates the conditions that firefighters faced trying to rescue Mark in 1992. This is one of 8+ configurations that the Vulka Training System can be set up for. Quickly achieve true Denver Drill dimensions with minimal lumber. Check out what else it can do - link in bio. #firefighter #fireacademy #firefightertraining #firefighters #vulka

I get to do the coolest shit. Every demo, every class, every training … there’s always something new to learn, new people to talk to, new tactics to discuss. I always look forward to seeing my @citizens_first_fire_training brothers and doing what we do. Some people just go to work. I get to go play with rescue tools, wrecked cars, and call it professional development. Life’s pretty fucking cool. #winning

Your training, your preparation, your equipment, and your ability to get the job done. That’s why we’re here. Firemen serving Firemen. At @citizens_first_fire_training we’re committed to helping firefighters and departments build the knowledge, skills, and capabilities needed to perform when it matters most. SO WHAT DO WE BRING TO THE TABLE? 🚒 FIRE SERVICE TRAINING & EDUCATION Hands-on training and educational opportunities designed to help firefighters sharpen their skills, improve their operations, and stay ready for the job. 🛠️ AMKUS RESCUE SYSTEMS Extrication and rescue equipment designed for the demands of real-world emergencies. THE FLAT ROOF One of my personal favorites. This configuration allows for a multitude of training. From ventilation to firefighter through a floor to crawlspace operations. Add a wall, add a parapet, add a drywall knock out below the roof - you’re only limited by your imagination. The VTS is insanely customizable. When you’re finished training those scenarios, turn it into another prop entirely (peaked roof, Denver drill, bailout window and more) or pack it up for low footprint storage or transport to another training site. Send this to your training officer or get a quote on our website today - link in bio. #firefighter #fireacademy #firefightertraining #firefighting #vulka

When the patient is trapped, the clock is running, and the scene doesn’t give you a perfect setup, your training has to carry the load. Chris Kessinger of Citizens First Fire Training is coming to Southwest Fire Conference 2027 with two hands-on training sessions built around solving real rescue problems. MAXIMIZE YOUR EXTRICATION Tool selection. Placement. Tactics. Rapid victim removal. Chris brings an approach built around getting the most out of the people and equipment you actually have when staffing is limited and the problem is anything but simple. MAN VS MACHINE Machinery and entrapment incidents demand a different kind of problem solving. Access, control, disentanglement, and decision-making all come together when the patient is caught in something that was never designed to come apart. Chris is the owner and lead instructor of Citizens First Fire Training, where the mission stays simple: train hard, stay grounded in the craft, and keep the citizens we serve at the center of the work. Two hands-on classes. One instructor who loves the job. Three days of fire-service training in El Paso. Southwest Fire Conference 2027 📍 El Paso, Texas 📅 January 21–23 Come train with us. #SouthwestFireConference #SWFC2027 #FirefighterTraining #VehicleExtrication #fireservicetraining

WE CAN FINALLY SHOW WHAT THE VTS CAN DO. Need structural collapse training? It can do it. The VTS gives instructors the ability to create controlled, repeatable structural collapse scenarios and change the load and configuration to challenge crews in different ways. This isn't just a static prop. It gives firefighters the opportunity to see, feel, and work through changing structural conditions in a controlled training environment. This is exactly what we were working toward when we started this project — realistic training that can be changed, repeated, and pushed further. And we're just getting started. A big thank-you to everyone who joined us for the Hobart Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Open House! We loved spending the day with our community and sharing ways to stay safe. We’re grateful to all the community groups, local businesses, and partner agencies who came out and helped make the event special. A special thank-you to our firefighters and Fire Prevention team for coordinating the day, setting everything up, and putting on live demonstrations. We couldn’t have done it without all of you. Thank you for your support!
