In winter 1985, a starving woman sheltered in the horse stalls at La Plata County Fairgrounds scrawled on the wall, “Nobody cares.”

Manna was founded as a result in May 1985, although a building for the organization would not be erected until 16 years later in 2001.

That’s Manna’s origin story, said Ann Morse, former executive director of the community kitchen and resource center for seven years.

Not sure who won or lost, but I survived Snowdown 2025 and that feels like a victory. 🎲♟️ See ya in 2026 for the next round.

It was a lot of fun talking to our mayor, Jessika Buell about bike and pedestrian infrastructure. It was even more fun seeing Jessika ride her bike to our meeting!

Thanks to everyone who showed up to advocate and learn about better and safer cycling in Durango.

Now go do what Jessika did and ride your bike!

It's all fun and games! 🎲

This year's Snowdown Light Parade was epic, Durango! Imaginative and colorful floats paraded down Main Street like nothing we've ever seen.

Miss the parade? We've got you!

We are excited to share that, in partnership with the Jon Reveal Memorial Foundation, MAPDA's donation of multiple units of naloxone, at the request of Tamarack Ski Patrol in Idaho, has been delivered! Thank you to Ambassador Doug Dvorak for distributing the naloxone boxes that the Ski Patrols will keep in their gear and around the resort.

We are also proud to announce our distribution of easily accessible, life-saving naloxone kits to variety of the city of Durango's public facilities. Thank you to the City of Durango for your great leadership. Read the full article at the link in our bio!

We’re going gangbusters with our events right now, because, well…the world...and we want to try to create some sparkling light.
Also, because we were unable to host many events last year, so we’re making up for it!
(Hold your hats, there’s more coming)

This one is not to be missed! If you are interested in the future of Durango’s multimodal infrastructure, would like to gather together as fellow bicycle commuters, maybe find solace in the fact that we all hate riding our bikes on Florida Rd. in the winter (and spring), then come hang out at the Cyclery on Wednesday Feb. 19!

Devin King, Multimodal Manager with the City will be presenting on upcoming 2025 projects, be taking respectful questions, and there will be beer from @skabrewing so things don’t get too serious.

Come hang out, drink beer, learn some stuff, talk bikes, and have some hopefully sparkly light fun.

We are so thrilled for Nora for being one of five people awarded the Super Volunteer title by the @cityofdurango a few weeks ago. Nora has been a major leader in our community in a plethora of ways including being the current @mannadurango Board President spearheading the garden programs and Tour De Farms events, @sanjuanbrewfest , the @durangochamberofcommerce Diplomats Chair, and @leadershiplaplata! Congratulations Nora for your award and dedication to our communities! 💚🎉
