Hey! Just a reminder that we here at Food Not Bombs DTLA absolutely love being invited to your event, whether it be a community block party, concert, social, or festival!!! 🥳🤝

This year, we have made a conscious effort to expand beyond our weekly Saturday serves in Skid Row, and have been lucky enough to find ourselves included in numerous events across the county, further connecting with others doing really cool things. As an anarchist mutual aid organization, we know that groups are only as strong and effective as the broader community they function for and within. Alone as a ragtag group of kindhearted weirdos, we accomplish a lot, but in the grand scheme of the ✨revolution✨, we are only one piece. If we want any hope of real, long-term change, we must all come together, pooling our varying resources and skills, and create the better world we wanna see right here and right now! We gotta meet each other in person, chat, share resources and ideas, and literally break bread!

But it’s also just really fun. So we’ve enjoyed collaborating and making new friendships the last couple of months with other organizers, projects, bands, show promoters, and neighborhoods. Here are a few pics of us doing what we love in a buncha different places. 👋

If you think we’d be good company, don’t hesitate to DM us. We are but a humble group of working class volunteers, and we sustain this chapter out-of-pocket and from community donations, but more often than not we can make it work. Sometimes it’s just some light refreshments, and other times we can even whip up an elaborate vegan catering situation. We are equipped to set up virtually anywhere.

These little events are also always great opportunities for us to fundraise without it feeling so impersonal and soul-crushing, since it allows us to be out there, collect donations, and maybe sell some merch, so your invites do directly help our cause in a symbiotic way.
