Ellie had the very best cheering section today, and we are so incredibly grateful for every person who showed up, supported, and cheered her on. Even though today didn’t turn out the way we hoped, it was still such an important day for these girls. They work so hard and expect to hit every time; they put in the reps, trust the process, and honestly they want perfection. But sometimes the biggest growth comes from the moments that don’t go as planned. You learn more from falling, from missing, and from not being perfect than you ever do from hitting every single time.

Today the girls learned that showing up early, staying locked in, and being fully focused all the way until the moment you hit the mat matters just as much as the skills themselves. Every rep, every count, every second of focus counts. Lots of lessons were learned today; about perseverance, preparation, and resilience and those are the moments that get us ready for the big comps. This team is growing, and days like today are part of the journey…

Also if yall are wondering how Ellie responded to it all When we were leaving Ellie said “take this medal, it’s a participation (percipitation) award”…🤣🤣🤣

I couldn’t remember the last time I actually picked this boy up. Whenever it was, I didn’t know that it was for the last time. But this mama needed to know. I needed that memory marked in time. Maybe this wasn’t the last time….I think I’ll try every year until I can’t any longer. I may just try to pick up my older two as well 🤍
