📍Newport Cove, Acadia National Park

Was driving around looking for a spot and saw two guys with red headlamps setting up. Knew they were on to something. Got to spend 2 hours talking while waiting for headlights to go away.

For anyone going to Acadia, you can’t see the Milky Way inside of your car😂

Intense airglow is something we aren’t too used to n in the south, adds a great effect to Milky Way shots though!

The northern lights have been spectacular this season 💚 this video was captured by one of our guests 🎥@cjcoope2

We do appreciate it a lot to see your memories from Hotel Rangá. It gives a true insight into what people can expect from staying with us, and it gives us pleasure to be able to share that with you.

We hope you enjoy this beautiful shot as much as we do

We went to Iceland with one goal - to see the Northern Lights. What we got was so much better. Not only did we see the lights, we got a G2 display under a full moon, with a full strength ~Kp 7 substorm right around 1900 the night we stayed at @hotelranga.

For reference, none of these pictures are edited.

Thank you Iceland!

Ocracoke, NC - 24OCT2025

Short Timelapse from our stay at @visitocracokenc. It was incredibly cold, and got cloudy early but it was well worth it.

Unfortunately this marks the end of Milky Way season, more (and longer) Timelapse’s coming early next spring!

19SEP2025 - Staunton River State Park
Cygnus (North American and Pelican Nebulas, as well as the Great Rift to the right)

Took roughly 130x 90s subs however due to fog and endless cars pulling into the park nearly 90 of them were unfortunately useless and washed out.

I had never been to Staunton River State Park before, but it was worth every second of the drive!

28AUG2025 - Medoc Mountain State Park

First time using a star tracker, and although it was a lot more work than anticipated it came out far better than any other image so far.

Medoc Mountain State Park - 22AUG2025

95 x 22 second subs, using a Canon 6D and a Sigma 20mm f1.4. ISO1600, aperture at 1.4. Stacked in Sequator and edited in Photoshop.

Conditions at Medoc were perfect on Friday night, pretty bad transparency and tons of dew (glad my dew heater was working), but I am really happy with how this one turned out!
