Thank you @taylorlorenz and @cjrosenbaumreports for including us in this year’s top creator economy managers list from The Hollywood Reporter. Wild to see the trajectory of knowledge creators go from “niche” to Hollywood in a such a short amount of time.

We built Smooth on the belief that knowledge creators need operating partners, not paper pushers. Our ambition is only growing and we’re doubling our management team to keep up - if this type of work is up your alley, apply to be a manager.

Thanks to @tiers2you @cjrosenbaumreports and @eater_dc for including us in “The Most Fun Restaurants In DC”

The Wharf’s tropical escape overlooking the Potomac is dead set on making sure all of its customers have fun. Bartenders, armed with bubble guns, pump out over-the-top tiki drinks spiked with its Thrasher’s rum and surf-themed swizzler sticks. In between distillery tours and/or hanging out on the thatched rooftop bar year-round, it’s always fun to share a pupu platter here alongside tuna poke, crystal shrimp dumplings, and spam musubi. - Eater DC

We are fun here come see for yourself, get the Fog Cutter!

📍 1130 Maine Ave SW Washington DC

Best Tiki Bar in Washington DC and The DMV! We make our own Rum downstairs, we make our own syrups and use real ingredients, we even grow some of our own produce on our rooftop! No reservations needed just show up (unless you got your whole office coming then shoot us a DM) we are at the @thewharfdc , come have some fun!

Happy National Cheeseburger Day! 🍔

This weekend, meet the Pepperoni Smash Burger—two house-made dry-aged beef patties loaded with pepperoni, melty pepper jack cheese, @dukes_mayonnaise, shredded lettuce, salty potato chips, and a hot honey drizzle, all piled onto a pretzel bun.

Sweet. Salty. Crunchy. A flavor uppercut to the brain that’ll make you feel lucky to be alive.

Available this weekend in Takoma Park and Leesburg.

Just come get it.

25 years ago, 9/11 happened.

I remember driving to a friend’s house in DC and seeing smoke in the sky. My car radio was reporting that two planes had hit the World Trade Center—a place I had been just one week earlier for my internship with Epic 355/Sony Records. It didn’t feel real.

The next night, I had tickets to see @litbandofficial and @handsomedevilband at the @930club. I was sure the show would be canceled.

Then I heard @dc101radio announce that Lit was still playing. They refused to let terrorism win.

The show had sold out. Only 12 people showed up.

But Lit played like the room was packed.

1000% energy. For two hours, we laughed, sang, and escaped the reality of what had just happened to our country.

After the show, we sat with the band for almost an hour talking about where everyone was when they heard the news and about refusing to live our lives in fear.

I almost didn’t go that night. I was terrified. But I heard @ajaypopoff say on the radio, “We won’t let them win.”

So I went.

25 years later, I still think about that night and what those words meant to me.

Thank you to the brave men and women who protect us, save lives, and put themselves in harm’s way every day.

And thank you to the musicians who give us something we sometimes don’t realize we need until we need it most—an escape, a connection, and a reminder to keep living.

Never forget. 🇺🇸
