One of my many prized possessions. This is an authentic poster from the obscure Nelvana cartoon Ned’s Newt. The show was created by Andy Knight, same creator as Get Ed and RoboRoach, and premiered as one of Teletoon’s first original series in 1997. It starred comedian Harland Williams as Newton, and Voiceover legends Tracey Moore, @cjscottgibson, @ppktoronto, @jonathanwilson2303, and @tracyryan_416. These posters were made by the Philippine Animation Studio Inc. or PASI, the studio of which Nelvana outsourced this show… and many others to for overseas Animation. #nedsnewt #nelvana

Teresa Hagar was the 1st stage manager for Tony n' Tina's Wedding when the original company put down roots at Gus' Place in Greenwich Village in 1988.

Pictured here with Nancy Cassaro, Teresa ran TNT with an iron fist (a loveable one :)

Somehow she was everywhere all at once and it was best not to get in her way, because Teresa was so good at her job that she didn't rely on others. She was at Gus' Place, then the church, then back at Gus' Place without a single complaint.

We were so lucky to have Teresa running our show. And when the original company moved with the show to LA, Teresa stayed in NYC and made sure the show remained the show the authors created.

Many many thanks Teresa! xx

Kevin Alexander as Vinnie Black preparing the cheese and crackers at Gus' Place circa 1989.

Kevin, our original Vinnie Black, went on to direct many successful TNT off site performances and long runs of the play in cities like Buffalo, NY.

If it was possible, Kevin did it, no space was too small or too big to perform TNT in. And he was the primo Vinnie Black.

See his TNT Creating a Theatre Tribe podcast later this month as Kevin remembers the very start of TNT adventure.

SPOILER TIME! Go watch ‘Something Very Bad is Going to Happen’ and then come back to this.

Had such a blast being a small part of this haunting, unique, fucked up show. I met so many solid people who were all such a treat to work with. Love to the little guys.

Something Very Bad is Going to Happen is streaming now on @netflix! I had the most incredible 5 weeks on set with this team and learned so much just by watching the crew work. They pulled off some of the most impressive and complex setups I’ve ever seen and I left all those 16 hour days feeling so energized and inspired! This show gave me lifelong friends and a new standard for how people should show up for one other on sets no matter their job title or number on the call sheet. Everyone was treated as a person first and an equal piece of the puzzle. I am so proud to be a tiny part of this masterpiece and even more proud to know all these kind, talented, beautiful people. More to come - didn’t want to spoil too much before you all finished binging ;)

Carmelita, a glorious creature, a dedicated business woman and the owner of Carmelita's Reception Hall where the long run of Tony N' Tina's Wedding began in 1988. She and her husband watched in amazement as we came weekend after weekend to get married again. Her plaintive cry at dinner of "I'm hungry" remains an often quoted reminder that without Carmelita our history would be less colorful.
Please join us on Spotify for our upcoming first episode featuring Nancy Cassaro and Mark Campbell.
