Next Wednesday, we’re lighting up Fremont like we did tonight! 🔥🔥🔥
Join us at the old Cloverleaf bowling alley as we claim territory for the Kingdom! New territory means new souls!

And a huge congratulations to my niece @mmaranada_ on her baptism. Today she made a bold, beautiful declaration to surrender her life to Jesus and follow Him as her personal Lord and Savior. So proud of you, kid. Heaven rejoices, and so do we. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.””

“Let’s just wait and see how they do…” 👀

🚩 Parents: waiting is not a game we can afford to play. For that time cannot be retrieved later. Once it’s gone -it’s gone.

When it comes to your childs education, time matters. Every month without the right supports, interventions, or data is time your child looses.

Parent: “I understand you want to wait, but I don’t want to wait and hope things improve. I want a plan based on data.”

A strong assessment plan helps identify:
✅ What skills are impacted
✅ What supports are needed
✅ A baseline to measure progress
✅ Whether current interventions are effective

Under IDEA, schools have an obligation to identify and evaluate students who may need special education and related services. Evaluations must use a variety of assessment tools and strategies to gather relevant functional, developmental, and academic information — not just rely on “let’s wait and see.”

📌 Parents: you can ask questions, request evaluations, and advocate for data-driven decisions.

Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) BEFORE a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA)? 🚩

A Behavior Intervention Plan should be based on data—not guesswork.

An FBA identifies the why behind a student’s behavior by determining its function. A BIP is then developed using those findings to teach replacement skills and reduce behaviors that interfere with learning.

If a school develops a BIP without first identifying the function of the behavior, ask:

• What data was used to determine why the behavior is occurring?
• What assessment supports the interventions in the plan?
• How were the replacement behaviors selected?

Under IDEA, when certain disciplinary removals occur, schools are specifically required to conduct an FBA (if one has not already been completed) and implement or revise a BIP. See 34 C.F.R. § 300.530(f).

Don’t be afraid to ask what the BIP is based on. The “why” matters.
