What I took away from the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair wasn’t just how much value is coming out of China. It was how much ambition sits behind it.

Tourbillons, chronographs, unusual complications and increasingly ambitious movements at prices that would be hard to imagine elsewhere.

The value gets your attention, but the engineering and ambition are what make you want to keep watching.

Having grown up in Hong Kong around the watch industry, it’s exciting to see so much energy coming from this part of the world.

Chinese independent watchmaking feels like a space worth paying much closer attention to.

So much concentration when you engrave a timepiece by hand. What an art! ⌚️✨

The precision, patience, and craftsmanship behind every detail are truly incredible. A real reminder that watchmaking is so much more than just telling time.
