Summer Sessions x Vincy Chan | Episode 2: Take the Blindfold Off Your Heart

💃: @ckio_vincy
🎥: @adormeoo
🎵: Yuri On Ice - Taro Umebayashi

EP. 2 is about the warmth we all carry that is so easy to neglect. The wondrous capacity for tears, the small courage that allows us to be moved and touched, the nagging compulsion to try and be good. You don’t have to shower the whole world with this warmth. You only need to acknowledge that it’s there. Just carry it carefully with you wherever you go. Let it guide your hand and heart.

I procrastinated so long on creating this post because I couldn't find the words to summarize this CGT journey with @funkyverse.crew. How could I?
Being a part of this show, with a crew I hold so close to my heart, has really changed my life. I have genuinely been so proud of every set that @lock_julia and @cheech1teach1 have created, and so proud to be able to represent street dance on a stage this big. Pushing through this journey has been extremely challenging and simultaneously rewarding. 🤍💜
Thank you again @iam_karbon and @oneofakynd27 for your incredible support, and thank you to each and every crew member for making this dream come true. Thank you to my family, friends, and the dance community for all the love, shares, and support. Until next time 🫡

RECAP: GLITCH OUT! Punking Mini-Battle
➿
Still thinking about this battle (Toronto’s first #punking battle!) that I got to host as part of a residency @csvtoronto for the upcoming iteration of ✦ Be Vardų, Be Kojų ✦✨
〰️
The energy in the room was spectacular! It was so special to witness everyone’s particular expression as they performed to Lithuanian folk dances (sorry not sorry!). This kind of remix is what I’m so interested in and it fills my heart that people stepped in and were game for this!
➰
BIG CONGRATS TO OUR WINNER @chantellemostacho 💫💥 and our runner up @charcarbone 🎇🫧
〰️
Thank you @colours_perez for judging and mentoring me throughout this piece’s progress 💞🌷
➿
Catch the premiere of the work this summer — keep an eye out for more info! 👾
