We all know by now that our so-called “leaders” are robbing America blind, enriching themselves lavishly and dishonestly - while the rest of us work harder and harder just to get by. These past few years of impetuous trade wars and political havoc have caused our suppliers (of everything from lumber to fabrics) to raise prices drastically, forcing our own prices up well beyond what we were comfortable with. Clad Home was NEVER meant to be a brand for just an elite few. We launched in 2015 to democratize the furniture industry by bringing high end custom furniture - once the domain of fancy interior designers only - to EVERYONE! Clad Home takes pride in bringing you the HIGHEST quality furniture, with the MOST custom options, at the FAIREST prices. Anywhere. So a few months ago we decided that we’d had enough! And we spent months re-negotiating every single contract with every single vendor and supplier, shaving off 1% here and 3% there, going out of our way to find and open up new supply chains, and just basically doing literally ANYTHING and EVERYTHING we could to get our prices back to where we knew they needed to be. What does this mean to you? Well for starters, it means that every single piece of furniture on our website has just been reduced by hundreds (sometimes thousands!) of dollars. Every fabric has gone down in price too. AND we just added 100 beautiful new fabrics that we intentionally sourced with affordability in mind. We erased YEARS of unchecked, predatory, runaway inflation. Because honestly - we love you. And we’re all in this together 🫶🏽 #cladhome #claimyourclad #customsofa #customsofadesign #lasofa

Golden hour with our Agoura sofa in “Regent Capeside” performance velvet. All Clad Home sofas come in a dozen different layouts, from sofa to sectional. This is our “Longback” version, with an extended backrest on the right side, and a hefty storage ottoman on the left (designed to be removed once a year when the Christmas tree occupies the front window :) Because we think your sofa should fit your life, not the other way around. We love old homes. We love their stories and the lives they have seen. We love their nooks, crannies, uneven floors, and funky layouts. And we love honoring their pasts, as we help build their brighter and safer futures (I am looking at you knob and tube wiring). Take our #ProjectOnceInAMidcentury—a historic home in the heart of the Edgewood Park neighborhood in Redwood City, California. Originally built in 1959, it was once featured in Sunset magazine as a shining example of how to seamlessly transition from indoor to outdoor living, a cornerstone principle of mid-century architecture. We were so lucky to work collaboratively with a client who adored the home and its history, and found ourselves often thinking throughout the project… Would the original owners love the style of barstool we chose? Would they adore the lavender wool fabric on the sofa? How would they feel about the new home for their original lighting? Is this shade of green tile too jade and not enough avocado? Would they be proud? Yes, I think they would. Swipe left to see the original pic from @sunsetmag. We are so excited that this midcentury stunner is getting its second shot at some fame and glory. Designing for a writer-photographer couple who value stories, memories, and the art of collecting. Our Cow Hollow Eclectic project, featured on @archdigest @getclever, celebrates the layers of a life well-lived. In this open living and dining space, artwork gifted by friends and collected over years creates intimate moments throughout—each piece holding meaning beyond aesthetics. The dining area demonstrates how cherished objects create dialogue: their beloved table paired with vintage Angelo Mangiarotti leather sling chairs from @1stdibs speaks to sophisticated juxtaposition and the beauty of mixing eras within one cohesive room. Design/ @formandfield Photography/ @marikoreed
