My Miss America Send-Off! ❤️

I am so lucky to be so loved. Thank you to everyone who came to bring well wishes, some good luck, and a squeeze before I trade the skyline for the Florida beaches!

To my Miss New York class who came to reminisce with me, thank you for showing me that our week-long laughs can really extend to a lifetime! To the past @missnewyorkorg titleholders, I am so thankful to have your knowledge and support heading into this week, I couldn’t do it without you! To my Columbia friends and Kappa Alpha Theta sisters, I can’t put into words how lucky I am to combine my many worlds into one, and you all cheer me on no matter what—thank you for taking a dip into the Miss America community with me. To Ariyanna, my @missmanhattanorg local director, thank you for always being so thoughtful and present in my journey. To Claire and Sloane, my @missnewyorkorg board, thank you for not only organizing a truly incredible night, but helping me feel celebrated even when we aren’t partying!

Thank you to @vartalisalon and @pietnyc for hosting us, and all of our Miss New York sponsors who make me feel so special!

Ending this week thinking back on my time in NYC and just filled with gratitude. Thank you @diva__dasilva and @nigelcampbellnyc for having me teach and share with your @movenyc students. I’m so grateful to play a small role in their development as dancers and artists. It was truly a special time.

New York City, I love you! So many memories, shows, friends and good times in this city. I can’t wait to go back 🫶

Can’t believe they said we would hate each other?!??!?

You’re one of the best people I’ve ever known, and I’m so glad I get to do life with you. You’re a wonderful mom, sister, partner, and friend to so many people. The way you approach life with intention and prioritize experiences and adventure is something I so admire. You’re truly one of a kind!!

Cheers to 40, @clairebuff. You are so loved! 🥂

Throwback to MCing the Miss New York pageant in 2012! Was a lot of fun!

Turns out our own @itsmalloryhagan won the whole Miss America that year, followed by another Miss New York the next year as well, @ninadavuluri!

2025: The Year the Circle Changed

This year my circle changed, and in doing so, so did I. Not because I didn’t already have exceptional friends. I did. I always have. But 2025 revealed a depth to friendship that I hadn’t yet known was possible.

So many things happened this year, moments I once prayed for, but what made them truly what they were had nothing to do with the achievement itself. It was the people. The joy was deeper because it was shared, the victories sweeter because they were witnessed, and even the hard moments were softened by who stood with me in them.

This was the year the people who already knew my heart showed up. They stayed. They listened without trying to fix. They celebrated the wins as if they were their own and held the losses with a tenderness. They reminded me who I was when life tried to tell me otherwise. They chose presence over convenience and loyalty over comfort.

It was also the year I learned that not everyone I thought would stay was meant to. And I speak that without bitterness. Some people showed me their truest selves, and I don’t fault them for it. Authenticity matters. Truth matters. Some relationships are assigned for a season, not a lifetime, and release can be just as loving as holding on. The circle didn’t shrink out of loss, it shifted with purpose.

New friendships formed in the middle of some of the most intense, heartbreaking, resilience filled moments of my life. Moments that stripped away performance and left only honesty. Moments that demanded real connection. And in those spaces, God placed people who could see me clearly, walk with me fully, and speak life when I needed it most.

These friendships didn’t just support me. They ushered me into the most incredible, affirming, and life changing moments I’ve ever experienced. They were a soft place to land and a strong place to stand. And most of them came in the form of people I never expected to hold that space in my life.

I’m closing 2025 with a heart that knows discernment, gratitude, and peace. I’m deeply aware that the circle I’m walking into the next with was formed with intention. The year the circle changed was also the year everything aligned.

I don’t think my heart has fully caught up to this weekend. My Miss America homecoming was one of the most surreal, joy-soaked, love-filled moments of this experience and it happened because of the people who showed up and poured so much into it. To everyone who had a hand in making this weekend happen - thank you. Every detail, every hug, every surprise, every long day and late night of planning.

My Miss New York and Miss America sisters filled the room with laughter, joy, and genuine love. Watching them bond with each other - seeing two chapters of my life meet and click so beautifully - was one of my favorite parts of the whole weekend. There were so many sweet moments with all of them together.

Being surrounded by so many loved ones who traveled from all over to celebrate this incredible journey meant more to me than I can adequately type out. I won’t get over the reunions, the love, the excitement, the everything for a long time.

This weekend would not have been possible specifically without Claire and Sloane. They did the absolute most with the most “me” of a vibe in mind and it was an absolute hit in every perfect way. Their love, time, effort, and care means the world to me. I could go on and on about those two but I won’t put you all through reading my sappiness after listening to it in person all weekend.

Having Miss America HQ travel from far and wide during their busy schedules was so special and I am beyond grateful for each of them in this experience. I’m so grateful for the support they’ve shown me in every step of this wild, beautiful journey.

New York, thank you for welcoming me home and wrapping me up in so much love. I know I have to leave you often these days, but it’s for the best reason ever - and coming home to you will always feel like magic. My heart is full in a way only you could make possible.
