Hi! Happy Monday (or Tuesday, depending on where you are). ♥️ It’s been a minute, or three(ish) months. 🤭 I took the summer off and planned to restart my Monday Muse series at the beginning of September, but realized I needed a little more time to figure out what I wanted to do with the series, if anything at all. I’m incredibly proud of Monday Muse and the fact that it lasted an entire year. It really is a reflection of who I am, my heart, and how I want to support this community. But it was hard to spread joy when I wasn’t feeling much of it myself. My heart wasn’t in it, and I never wanted Monday Muse to become something performative. That’s not who I am or what this series was meant to be. Anyway, I’ve decided to go another route. Monday Muse has always been about celebrating the Bookstas in our community who bring the best energy. So, what better way to continue than to let YOU celebrate YOUR muse? I genuinely love reading your comments about the people who make this community special. And I think there’s something even more meaningful about giving everyone the opportunity to share that love rather than having me choose someone each week. So, let’s try something different every Monday for the rest of the year. Who is YOUR Monday Muse? Whether you share their name, tell us what makes them special, or simply take a moment to appreciate them, I hope this little corner of Bookstagram continues to be a place for kindness, encouragement, and joy. I love you. ♥️ab Be Kind | Who Is Your Monday Muse | Find Your People | Be Joyful | Don’t Be a Dîck, Please and Thank You

💖MY BOOKISH CORNER✨ My lil happy place. I work from home and am in the process of starting a new job next week, so I needed to do a book reorganize! 🫶🏻 I know I don’t have the fanciest shelves, but I am proud with what I can do with the space I have. So many people on bookstagram have such beautiful displays I get so intimidated! As I was redoing my books today, I kept thinking about how happy and blessed I feel for what this little corner of the internet has brought me. 💖 new friends, new authors, new connections, and has really helped my confidence in being confident in who I and what I like. ✨ thank you so much for all of you who have showed me so much love over the last two years. I know my posting has been sporadic since I got pregnant in May. Having a rough first trimester, being a toddler mom, working, going through the hiring process while pregnant, my life has just been crazy but I’m proud I haven’t given this page up! I may not be posting as often but I am still here getting lost in fictional stories, and I want to thank you all for still being here with me 💖 I tagged some of the people who I feel the most blessed to have in my life on this post, and I’d love to hear what or who you are thankful for for this corner of the internet brining into your life! 🫶🏻✨

Well, I still only read one book this week, but it is getting better. Were there multiple nights where I forced my eyes to stay open long enough so keep my kindle streak alive? Absolutely. But there were also nights I got in decent sized chunks so I think we’re moving in the right direction. Unfortunately, I decided to read Onyx Storm next and the 12 hour read time looks a little daunting at the moment. Summer Lisa would have said oh that’s just one day, but school time Lisa says is this the week we don’t finish a book? In other news, Kindergarten is a dream and I love these little babies so much already. Hard to imagine 14 years ago when I got the offer from Teach for America I almost didn’t take it because it involved teaching ABCs and 123s and that was not what I had envisioned as my path. Silly Lisa, look where you are now. Anywho. Kindle streak still alive and another great week ahead. What is your kindle streak right now? I’m sitting at 1257 days in a row.
