Our lovely Peace & Calm workshop 🌿

120 beautiful minutes of slowing down, breathing, noticing, feeling and creating together.

We started by making our own peace candles, taking time to notice the different colours and shades. There’s something so calming about the simple process of gluing, layering and creating.

The children were then invited to make something they loved. What started as colourful balls soon turned into pumpkins, birthday cakes, candles, hearts and even a ninja sword! I love seeing where their imaginations take them.

We finished upstairs in the café, making our own apple pies. From designing and filling to sealing each pie, the children took their time. And goodness, the café smelled lovely!

Thank you for spending two wonderful hours with us. ❤️

It’s blowing a hooley! Reduced sailing time this week as I’m recovering from being mended by the wonderful people at the NHS. Here are some pictures and videos of calmer times. Thanks to @grove_pond_yachts for this wonderful pond yacht sailing in the video, all built in the UK don't you know! Check them out. Have a wonderful week all. CMYC

🎭 WIMBLEDON | Toto

🗓 Polka Theatre | Ages 3–8

An accessible theatre option, although not a relaxed performance. Includes flashing lights.

🧩 KINGSTON | The Pod Sensory Room

YMCA Hawker, KT2

Open during half term, with a sensory area specifically reserved for children with SEND and under-2s.

General soft-play admission £7.50 per child, including one adult. Walk-in sessions.

💚 Remember, SEND-friendly doesn’t necessarily mean suitable for every child. Check sensory information, accessibility, supervision and available adjustments before visiting.

Save this for half term and share with another local family who might find it helpful.
