each year i am amazed, and reminded, just how special this space is. one of my favorite things about ar is the constant flow of inspiration, from my mentors and peers. forever grateful to be apart of this nurturing environment.

This page has been completely MIA… Which tells you everything you need to know about my current schedule🤪

I have so much to share, but wanted to start with what has turned into one of my favorite classes to teach this season! With the expansion of ARTISTS REVEALED, we created a full-time program where I now get to teach a weekly jazz class — my first true love.

It has been so rewarding to break up the intensity of the week with a classic jazz line, and even more fulfilling to watch these dancers truly thrive within it. Because this is part of our full-time mentee program, I’ve also used the class as an opportunity for them to virtually learn from professionals through STEPS on Broadway twice each semester. Exposing our dancers to current work and working artists continues to be one of our highest priorities. Also love to bring home a @hailey_ho moment when the song is just tooo good !!😅

When developing the structure of this class, I really wanted to return to the fundamentals. Grounded, classic, authentic jazz technique will never go out of style. This season we focused on clean double pirouettes, strong leg lines and extensions, use of travel, dynamic performance quality, and so much more.

excited to see where this goes 🤪

*this is not all my choreo; choreographer are tagged !!
