What does it take to build a cult-favorite fashion brand as a teenager—without a design background, without investors, and without anyone fully taking you seriously? For sisters @brendaliang and @clarahychi, founders of @sirenbasics, the answer was an unshakeable belief in what they were building. Born from a simple desire for playful, beautiful underwear that didn’t demand a luxury price tag, Siren Basics has grown into one of this generation’s most beloved intimates brands (co-signed by the likes of @britneyspears, @devonleecarlson, and @treaclychild). We sat down with the duo to talk about the “unsexy” reality of building a business and why underwear deserves to be taken seriously at the link in bio.

SECOND SKIN by @sirenbasics is out now 🍓 our first release of matching sets designed to inspire the everyday. @clarahychi and I first conceptualized Siren to find a middle ground between mall-brand 5 for $25 undies and high-end, ultra-luxe lingerie. SECOND SKIN is an embodiment of that very ethos we founded Siren on, inspiring self-celebration and infusing whimsy into daily life. Designed with my sister for my sisters…I promise you’ll love it 🫦
