For those of you that know us both well, you'll know how passionate we are about supporting small businesses and buying well!

It's the reason why we decided to fill our shop with well made and designed gifts, created by artists and makers.

It also means that when we open a delivery, they often arrive looking like this ... and this results in a very smiley shop keeper!

One of my favourite ways to greet a new season is to style my kitchen dresser🍁

I packed away all my summer china & clambered into the loft to bring down my autumn mugs etc. As you can tell, I have a weakness for @emma_bridgewater ceramics! I also added a few wooden ornaments by @elizabeth.harbour and @clareartworks

The lovely peach orchid is from @bloomandwild (gifted). I picked it out from their selection of gifts; besides offering flower bouquets sent through the post, Bloom & Wild also offer a wide range of house plants, hampers, candles & sweet treats to gift as well. I was delighted to see they offer orchids, as I think they make the perfect houseplant (long lasting and hard to kill).

I’ve been desperate to open this delivery from @clareartworks and I wasn’t disappointed when I finally had a moment to enjoy it today!

Clare is a talented textile artist from East Sussex and I couldn’t resist adding a few of her wonderful pieces to the shelves of TLC. Her love of nature and wildlife shines through in her work and sits happily alongside that of my more local artists.

Please do come and take a look yourself, I’m open again tomorrow from 10am until at least 5pm.

🦢 Let me introduce you to Sean. This Swan is an original mixed media piece of art from @clareartworks 🦢 He measures 3’x2’ (90x60cm). Layers upon layers of collage, papers, acrylics and inks. A thing of beauty. You really must come and see him to appreciate the work that has gone into his making. 🦢
