Where do I even start with yesterday’s Business Class Awards?! ❤️

What an absolute honour to have been one of the judges. And if anything, the whole experience has reminded me just how blooming brilliant the children’s activity industry really is.

An industry full of people who genuinely care. People with passion, purpose and a real desire to make a difference.

And judging? My goodness, it was HARD!

You hear people say, “Everyone was a worthy winner,” don’t you? But I genuinely mean it.

The stories behind these businesses. The reasons they started. The challenges they’ve overcome. The conversations I had with them.

Just incredible.

I also had the pleasure of hosting one of the mastermind tables, where we explored ways to grow our businesses. And once again, I was reminded just how many brilliant minds we have in this industry.

So, if you put yourself forward for an award and didn’t win this time, PLEASE don’t stop.

Go again. And again. And again. ❤️

And finally, I absolutely HAVE to talk about Krissy

Krissy Monaghan, you are an absolute LEGEND!

The thought, care and attention that went into every single detail of this event was something else.

The content was exactly what we needed. The speakers, the conversations, the timings. Everything had clearly been so carefully considered.

You absolutely smashed it, and I really hope you’re putting your feet up for a few days. You deserve it!

It was also just lovely to meet so many new faces, have some brilliant conversations and spend time with people who care so deeply about what they do.

I’m incredibly proud to be part of this industry.

And I can’t wait to do it all again! 💘👩‍🍳#lovebiz #childrensactivities #bizawards #bizclassawards #womeninbiz

OUTSTANDING STUDIO CULTURE AWARD ‘26 🏆🏆🏆 @eleanorclarkdancecompany

absolutely. speechless. (!!!!!!)

honestly, saying that this award means the world simply doesn’t feel enough. 🌍🤍✨

it is everything.

a little over a year ago, ECDC was simply an idea.
a little dream built on one hope...
that every child deserved a place where they felt they belonged. 🩷✌🏻🫶🏻🤘🏻

this award isn’t just a trophy.
it’s a reminder of what happens
when a dream finds the people
who were always meant to be part of it. 🤍🕊️

a reminder that kindness matters.
that inclusion matters.
and that something built from your heart can become something far bigger than you ever imagined. 🦋💎

but this one feels incredibly special. ✨
because this award really is about more than movement…

it’s about everything that makes us so much more than a dance school.
everything that makes us ECDC 🤍

it’s about the laughter. the friendships.
the connection. the community.
the feeling of walking through our doors
and knowing you belong here.

it’s believing that ballet is not a body type.
and that dance should never be damaging
to make you a ‘better’ dancer…

that technical excellence, and emotional wellbeing are not opposites, but partners.

that you can have high standards,
work incredibly hard,
dream really big...

and still feel safe, supported and completely yourself. 🤍

this award is for every dancer
who calls ECDC home. 💌💎🦋🫶🏻

because a dream is only a dream...
until people believe in it. 🪽✨

you are the heart of this place.
you are what makes it feel like home.
you are the reason I get to do what I love.

none of this exists without you.
you are the spark that turned my tiny idea
into an award-winning dance school. 🏆✨

thank you for changing my life. 🤍🦋

I would be nothing,
have nothing,
without you ALL. 🌷🌸🩷

I had the dream.
but you became it.

my heart is so full.
of gratitude. pride. SHOCK.
and unbelievable happiness. 🤍

UK DANCE AWARD WINNERS 2026 (!!!!!)

I think I’m going to say that about 100 more times before I believe it. 😭 🌷🌸🏆🦋🪽

thank you from the bottom of my heart @ukdanceawardsofficial @jayeelster @jayeelster_choreography

always. ECDC 🤍🏆

🥹💜 Sometimes you have to stop and take a moment to realise just how far you’ve come.

Last night, Creationz Dance Academy stood in a room filled with some of the biggest names in UK dance — as ONE of just 22 finalists for Excellence in Inclusive Dance Practice at the UK Dance Awards 2026.

And we were the ONLY dance school from the Isle of Wight there.

For a small Island dance academy, that is a BIG moment. 💜

A moment to feel proud of.
A moment to celebrate our dancers.
A moment to look around and think… we really did this.

💜 Another incredible Competition Team season
💜 Our first full dance production in a professional theatre
💜 Performing at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre
💜 Island carnivals, community events & performances
💜 Creating more opportunities for our dancers
💜 Continuing to build a truly inclusive dance space
💜 National recognition for our inclusive dance practice

We didn’t take home the trophy, but we took home pride, perspective, inspiration and even more determination. ✨

A huge thank you to @ukdanceawardsofficial , @classforkidsuk and @idsdance for bringing together such a brilliant evening celebrating our industry.

It was also so lovely to meet the ladies from @moveitshakeit — what a pleasure! 🫶🏼

And our TABLE NINE GANG… 🥂💜
What a night. What a table. What memories!
@epic_dance_academy @oscar_how24

Most importantly, thank you to our incredible CDA Fam. This moment belongs to all of you too. 💜

22 finalists.
1 Isle of Wight school.
1 very proud CDA.

We belong in that room.

And this is only the beginning. ✨💜

It was an incredible weekend of learning and every coach walking away with things they can implement into their gyms was a great thing to see.

Keep your eyes peeled as we will release the 2027 date very soon 😁
