I have gotten in the bad habit of quickly sharing updates on stories and not saving them as highlights to look back on. So here is a brief review of the last few weeks as we seem to be nearing the finish line!

Lots of pretty tile has been installed and the primary bathroom shower bench top was added today by the countertop fabricators!

Jeremy has been working hard to get our stairs rails installed

Lots of tricky math involved to make sure all the pieces fit together correctly

They were not taking any chances on the structural integrity of the newel posts.

We have grass in the backyard!

The tub surround was also installed today! The front face will get a cabinet front to coordinate with our vanity.

Fireplace hearth was set today so we are one step closer to being able to install the hardwood floors

I selected a front door hardware set that doesn’t actually lock 🤦🏻‍♀️

Our pocket door hardware is beautiful AND works properly 👏

After looking at more rock than any of us cared for, we finally made a selection for the French drain rock

I get excited every time I see the pink tile 💕

I am so glad I went a little out of my comfort zone in this bathroom too!

I anticipate a lot of arguing over whose turn it is to use the sink in here

I admit I thought it was a little much when Jeremy decided to do heated floors in our bathroom, but now I can’t wait to try them

Looking for treasures before they planted the grass :)

The morning after our reveal, our client texted us to say her daughter ran into her room and yelled, “Mommy, Santa came!!” and if that isn’t the best review, then I don’t know what is.

Going to miss working on this farmhouse, and the sweet family who now gets to live in it.

Proper photos from @aaronleitz to come, but in the meantime, some (probably too many) iPhone shots from last week in TN.

Exploring brass finish samples for a cabinet hardware project. Each room will feature a unique brass tone, warm, distinctive, and beautifully crafted to patina over time. These living finishes add character, share a story, and make every detail truly one of a kind.

One light, doing the work of many. 💡 This custom chandelier from a small Charleston studio replaces a row of pendants, and its pleated shades soften all the brass.

Handmade zellige tile behind it gives the backsplash movement, since no two pieces are alike. Walnut and leather stools finish it, built to look better with age. 🤎

The island size was a key detail in this kitchen remodel. We maximized the footprint while still using a single slab of natural stone—no seams, just one continuous surface.

Some of our favorite decisions in a Colorado home happen in the smallest rooms.

A powder room gives us a few square feet to get the materials just right, and these are the details we chose with that in mind. We hope it makes you want to give your own small spaces the same care.

Send this to someone who loves a small room with a lot of thought in it.

Texture and craft carry this kids’ bath, not bright color. 🪞 The oak bobbin mirrors were handcrafted in the UK by Alfred Newall, and their scalloped frames add warmth and whimsy.

The opal sconces, from a female-owned lighting company in South Carolina, soften the light for gentle mornings and bedtimes. Simple cabinetry lets the handmade details lead. 🤍
