HOW has it been a month already?!

One month ago today, this lot rolled into Bloodstock and HMTXIV officially crossed the finish line.

Three days on the road, 175+ miles from London to Bloodstock, some questionable tan lines, plenty of roadside nonsense and one hell of a group of people to do it with. 🖤🤘🖤

We’ve still got so much from the ride that we haven’t shared yet… so here are a few more hand picked moments.

The cycling might be done, but the fundraising isn’t. We’re still raising money for @teenage_cancer , @childline_official , @savechildrenuk and @nordoffrobbins.

If you followed along, cheered us on or just fancy helping us raise a little more for our hard working charities, HMTXIV donations are still very much open 🖤 link in bio!

It’s the International Day of Charity and over the years we’ve hosted several great causes here at the park, mostly in the form of Charity walks! 💙

At the end of the month Diabetes UK are back this September with Wellness Walk London Bridges, a fundraising walk supporting people affected by and living with diabetes.

Sign-ups are now open for this accessible fundraising walk on Sunday 27 September 2026. Choose between a 5-mile or 10-mile route and take in some of London's most iconic bridges and riverside views, all while supporting Diabetes UK's vital work. Both routes offer step-free, wheelchair-accessible options and are family friendly.

Two weeks ago today... we had one job left:
GET. TO. @bloodstockopenair 🤘

Two days already in the legs.
One final day on the road.
And a finish line we’d been thinking about for months.

If you’d like to celebrate what these absolute legends achieved, we’re still raising money for our four incredible charities.

Even a few quid makes a difference. Link in bio. 🤘

The Heavy Metal Traunts are officially over the finish line at @bloodstockfestival! 🤘

It was a gruelling 3 days - 180 miles, repeated punctures, angry drivers, cavernous potholes, brutal hills, cutting headwinds… but nothing got in our way. A little bit of suffering will always be worth it if it helps children who need support. 🖤

Expect many recaps next week. For now - if you’re in a position to donate, you can do so via the link in our bio.

And don’t forget to enter our raffle to win 2 x VIP tickets to Bloodstock for 10 years! 🤘 All information on our website via the link in our bio.

WE MADE IT! 🤘

Three days.
Hundreds of kilometres.
Countless laughs, a few tears, more than a few questionable road surfaces... and one incredible finish line.

It always feels like the ride will last forever when you’re in the middle of it. Then suddenly, you’re standing at @bloodstockopenair wondering where the last three days went.

A very special thank you to everyone at Bloodstock. This was our first-ever ride to the festival, and from the moment the idea became a reality, you’ve welcomed us with open arms. Thank you for believing in what Heavy Metal Truants is about, for helping us bring the ride to Catton Park, and for giving our riders a finish line they’ll never forget. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to end this year’s journey.

To every rider who dug deep when it got tough - personally or for a fellow rider, every member of the support crew who kept the wheels turning, and everyone who cheered us on from home - thank you. You are what makes Heavy Metal Truants so special.

The cycling may be over, but the fundraising continues. If you’ve enjoyed following our journey, there’s still time to support the riders and the four incredible charities at the heart of Heavy Metal Truants.

Every donation makes a difference 🖤 link in bio!

And we’re off. 🤘

This morning, the Heavy Metal Truants rolled out on our very first ride to @bloodstockopenair - united by one goal: raising as much money as possible for Teenage Cancer Trust, Save the Children, NSPCC/Childline, and Nordoff and Robbins.

To everyone riding, supporting, volunteering, donating and cheering us on… thank you. You’re part of this too.

Now, let’s ride.

We've only gone and bloody done it!

After several years of hard work, fundraising, planning and incredible support from all of you, The Rugby Relics have officially hit — and passed — our fundraising target for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity! Army Benevolent Fund

Our goal was £100,000… and after our recent Frontline Walk along the Normandy Beaches, we are very proud to say we’ve reached an amazing £102,000.00 raised!

A massive thank you to Amy Kenyon, Anna Thornton, Stephen Oatley, Robin Bacon and everyone at ABF & Classic Challenge
for your support and encouragement over the years. We also want to remember Keith Sherer, a proud Rugby Relic, and Denise Guest Sherer, a perennial supporter — both of whom would have been absolutely ecstatic at this achievement, but are sadly no longer with us. ❤️

But the biggest thanks to you, our sponsors, supporters and followers who have donated, supported and cheered us on along the way. Your generosity will help make a real difference to soldiers, veterans, and their families. ❤️

They rode head to head with our riders, kept them safe and, most importantly, fuelled so they can keep going 🤘

A lot goes on behind the scenes of HMT, from wonderful folks like those at Classic Challenge! So massive horns in the air for the Heavy Metal Truants support crew: the drivers, the fixers, the cheerleaders, the snack slingers.

You kept the wheels turning and the chaos (mostly) under control. We couldn’t do it without you!

You can still donate to the cause, and help us cross the REAL finish line, every penny will make a difference to a child that needs it. Link in bio 🖤

We’re going back to the beginning... to Day 1 of the ride to @downloadfest! 🤘

One month ago today, we rolled out from @bigpennysocial in East London - horns up, spirits high and full of adrenaline.

Through city streets, country roads, pub lunches, and a surprise fox sighting, we powered through 60+ miles to our first overnight - a campsite just outside of Milton Keynes.

That night? Tents. Camp food. Shaun of the Dead under the stars. Blissfully unaware of the pain Day 2 would bring...

We’re still raising money #ForTheKids, and it’s not too late to help.
