Feelin’ a lil nostalgic today (maybe this super sweaty heatwave)

So deeply grateful for skateboarding & the life it gave me— all the travel, friendships, family, experiences & this incredible era.

Marseille Bowl Riders. Velvia slides. Hotel Ibis, Thalassa Café, espressos in the lobby, mille-feuille birthday cake 😍 everyone jumping in the pool & off the roof, all of us invading the city from all over the world, celebrating my bday there with my birthday buddies @rickkosick @doubleddunc Too many amazing memories locked in my heart.

And the finals… ABSOLUTE mayhem. Everyone skating at full speed & somehow evading each other — it couldn’t have been choreographed better, and it wasn’t !!The level of skating was ridiculously INSANE!

This is just a tiny glimpse into a really special time locked in my heart

So grateful for my skateboarding family and everything this life has shared with me. And thank you Aaron , I’m truly grateful for how much you helped make so many of those trips and memories possible.

There truly wasn’t anything like it.

I have so much to share.

But first…my heart is full after a trip back to the states.

I have to admit, while I was excited to go, I had a lot of anxiety about going. It’s tough to watch the news and feel good about it. And then all my old fears kick in super hard.

But thankfully, we had safe flights, painless airport entries and exits, and it felt so nice being back.

We only had less than 48 hours in LA, so unfortunately we couldn’t see everyone we love, but we saw some and that was amazing. Tillman got so sleep over and his besties house, Sage saw her besties, and Bryan and I were loved on by many of our dearest friends.

Then we were off to Washington state to see my sister, brother (in-law), and finally meet our new neice/cousin in person. It was a magical week spending time with them. We all are so close and the distance is so hard. But for this week we were together, laughing, hanging out, helping out, and getting so many baby snuggles. And it was so cool to see them as parents…they are really doing so great and it brings me so much joy. We all fell in love with their baby, but none more than Tillman. He was smitten.

It was really hard and emotional to leave. I could not have imagined life would take us so far away. While I know it’s been really good for my family, it’s hard to confront the time we are missing with them. But we will make the most of the time when we are together and keep living life as it unfolds before us.

It was a great trip, filled with family, friends, and so much love.

My little Valentines this year! ❤️🩷 Spent V-Day at @thecubesantaclarita for the ISI Winter Classic and I could not be prouder of the way my girlies skated! Also got to catch up with old friends, so could not have asked for a better day!

Not pictured: @weave.it.to.jess - hoping to see each other more often!

This is what it’s all about! When all the hard work of practice comes down to a few minutes of performance and that feeling of accomplishment after! I feel so lucky to be able to understand now what it’s like from the other side of the ice, watching my students go out there and give their best, and sharing in their joy and achievements.

I’m so thankful to have been blessed with such sweet kids that come from the most amazing families 💛 Thank you for choosing me as your coach!
