Looking back on March 15, 2026, we are still humming the melodies from our annual tribute to Irving Fine. It was a beautiful afternoon in Slosberg Recital Hall filled with incredible chamber and choral music that celebrated a man who truly shaped the artistic identity of Brandeis. 💐

We were especially honored to have Irving Fine’s daughters, Claudia, Emily, and Joanna, in the audience. Their presence and continued support of the Irving Fine Society & Brandeis Concert Series make this annual tradition feel like the truest tribute.

Pictured are Mark Berger, Sophia Szokolay, and Hyun-Min Lee, who brought such artistry to the stage. Their impeccable performance honored Fine’s neoclassical roots as well as contemporary voices like Sarah Gibson & our very own Davy Rakowski.

To make sure you don't miss out on future performances, subscribe to our newsletter and follow our Eventbrite page (links in Instagram bio). Keep your eyes peeled for when we announce the date for next year’s tribute. We can't wait to see you back at Slosberg! A candid indoor portrait of three musicians smiling together. On the left, Mark Berger wears a grey blazer and glasses while holding a viola. In the center, Sophia Szokolay wears a dark green sleeveless top and floral pants, holding a violin. On the right, Hyun-Min Lee wears a purple floral blouse and holds a cello. They are standing in a rehearsal or backstage area with music stands visible in the background.
