The final #rocknrollsanantonio was one for the books! I ran the 5k Saturday with the Kids Run SARR training team, which included all 3 of my kids! It was cold, windy, and rainy - but that didn’t stop them. We celebrated with hot chocolate and pastries from #summermooncoffee afterwards ☕️

I stayed at the #canopybyhiltonsanantonio Saturday night thinking I could just sleep a little later and make my way to Run Club Village easily. WRONG! Left the hotel a little later than I wanted, was parked at a parking garage that was on the course and already closed off, so had to wait for police officers to move barricades and let me through. And then traffic was just TERRIBLE. I was stressing out and ended up missing the team and pacer pics, but made it to the starting line. Talk about hot mess express.

The #sanantonioroadrunners were the official pacers for the 10k, half marathon, and full marathon. I had a lot of fun pacing the 2:00 half along side @dcool6500 and @laboomruns . This was my 3rd year pacing with David, and damn if we aren’t killin it!

So long, @runrocknroll - lots of great memories, cool medals, and fun after parties.

In this last year of my life: Camped with friends and bike camped with dad, had the most magical new years visit to west Texas, ran my first trail 25K, became fully self employed, made some fun menus for clients celebrations, worked on a badass female run photo shoot, visited Mexico City with my husband, saw Frida Khalo’s house, trained for and ran my first 50K, lost at least 4 toenails, camped in big bend with friends, got a new tattoo, saw a total eclipse with my family in the home my parents have lovingly restored, saw friends celebrate their love, traveled to Spain for work, went on vacation with 12 of my oldest friends, visited Europe and explored Poland, Greece, Croatia and Spain for work, visited London for fun, drove in the UK on the left hand side, spent hours with my best pup friend and saw her off at the end of her life, said goodbye to my best friend, cried every day for a few months, ran another trail 25k, bought a house, moved into the house, got a new puppy, settled even more into our community and neighborhood and city 🫶🏼💕🌎 Thankful doesn’t even cover it. Another spin around the sun, can’t wait to see what year 34 brings!

West Texas Weekend 🏜️

I was initially planning on running the @trail_roots Sky Island 50k out in the Davis Mountains, but unfortunately came down with a cold late week. But that meant I got to head out there to support lots of @maverick.running.community runners and friends taking on the race!

I got to explore lots of trails and dirt roads around Prude Ranch and Davis Mountains State Park with some easy effort running on race day, capturing some fun videos of everyone racing! Because I wasn’t feeling 100%, I made sure to stay strong on my hydration while out there with Mortal Hydration’s Salty Margarita drink mix via @thefeedme. Super appreciative of them continuing to support my training!

And I couldn’t forget a quick dive into Balmorhea State Park’s spring fed pool!

4-8 800m repeats starting at MP, aim to finish each rep 5-10 seconds faster than the last.

Start with 60 seconds rest, but feel free to increase it to 1:1 work/rest to based on feel in order to maintain control while increasing speed.
