𝐄𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 will have its world premiere at the @thedenverfilm this November.

This marks my 8th consecutive year premiering work at the Denver Film Festival. This one feels extra special for two reasons…

The first being - this was absolutely the defining short film experience for me. It was everything I have been chasing in the non-feature format. Thank you to my producer & wife @jade.te.aime for always believing in me, and encouraging me. And a thank you to my DP @claudiuswick for helping me bring this insane vision to the big screen. And thank you to @yusuky88 - the most dedicated, crazy, passionate actor I could have dreamed up for this role. You are our hero Mori-san!

The second reason this one feels different is because I’m coming fresh off directing my debut feature film. I’m so grateful to be making it back stateside in time for this premiere. I have so many stories to share from making 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐄𝐀, which in many ways is a spiritual expansion of this short…

No AI was used in the making of this film. We used real fire, real blood, real planes, real caves, and real snakes. Shot entirely on location in Colorado.

📽️ Film des Tages: SKIN ON SKIN von Simon Schneckenburger 🇩🇪

Erlebt diesen Film im Deutschen Wettbewerb des Niederrhein Filmfestivals am 29. November 2025 um 18:15 Uhr im SCALA Kulturspielhaus Wesel! 🌍✨

November 2025:
* 🎞️ 14:00 Uhr: Sondervorstellung - Tanz der Erinnerung II 🇩🇪
* 🎞️ 16:15 Uhr: Wettbewerb Niederlande 🇳🇱
* 🎞️ 18:15 Uhr: Wettbewerb Deutschland 🇩🇪
* 🎉 20:15 Uhr: Gala & Preisverleihung 🏆

#FutureFrames Simon Schneckenburger from Germany, director of Skin On Skin @kviff 🎉

"Brutal yet perfectly impersonal, almost sterile. That is the slaughterhouse where the lives of two men – security guard Jakob and employee Boris – come together. In this place where animals are turned into meat, a different kind of evil is growing, the kind that plays out between people. Exploitation, the abuse of foreign labor, unpaid wages. But even in such an inhospitable environment, there is a place for tenderness and love. The German social drama Skin on Skin is as raw as the meat that comes off the slaughterhouse’s assembly line." – #kviff
