@ The Moonbeam (DM 4 ADDY)

Karma Fête formed in the Summer of 2022 as a collaborative project between singer Kat Karasi and keyboardist/producer Blue Dreams. Melting synths and bright ethereal vocals tie together their reverence for Soul, Jazz, Rock, and R&B. The band takes an Avant-Garde approach to Neo-Soul and is often compared to FKA Twigs, the Internet, Little Dragon, & Haitus Kayote. Accompanied by Marcos Rios (Guitar), Dolan Heard (Drums) and Eric Novak (Bass), @karma_fete explores the depths of vulnerability, the adventures of love and self-discovery, and reflections on what has become of the present. We were lucky to host our first show at First Presbyterian Church back in June and of course we had to kick it off with a Junket! Family Junket put on a killer party (as usual) with vendors, art, chess, and guest performers @greenttea.tempos & @yomanasseh. We've been working with Family Junket since 2022 and have brought them with us in every iteration cause they're really one of the most fun musical experiences in Chicago! Just wanted to share a few pix (shot by Grace Delvecchio) and celebrate the Chicago music scene. We're honored to be able to put on impactful shows all over Chicago and showcase the infinite talent this city has to offer

Did you tell the bees? 🐝

We in print again! Shoutout @southsideweekly and @shootyourmark for highlighting some deep underground Black Punk in the city. It's been a blast hangin with @bussykweenpowertrip this past year and a half and have gotten the chance to play some of my favorite shows of all time. Just like I needed alt voices when I was coming up, playing shows around the country is showing me these kids are desperately looking for perspective shifts. Honored to play a tiny roll in some kid's lives and looking forward to continuing this Alt-Black revolution. Go pick up a copy of the South Side Weekly, it's freeee. Full article in bio
