The Paisley mug
Part of the Paisley collection, this mug gave me a little more stress than I’d like to admit. Attaching handles always comes with a bit of uncertainty, and working with stoneware clay only adds to it.
But needless to say, they turned out pretty close to what I had initially pictured in my head.

@ananya.ragavendiran made these over many quiet days at the studio. Each piece started on the wheel, got a clean foot during trimming, and then came the part that took longest: carving every line by hand, inspired by paisley motifs. There are no stencils or shortcuts, just a steady hand and a lot of patience.

I cannot really put into words my obsession with snakes. There’s something about them that has always captivated me.. so mystical and mysterious, yet often so misunderstood.

Being able to translate this fascination into ceramics and hopefully inspire people to see these majestic creatures in a different light is something I’m very passionate about. ‏

Perhaps they’ve cast a spell on me..🐍🪄🧚‍♂️✨

Vein vase went for a walk. Fog, forest, and a piece that took its own sweet time to carve, felt fitting to let it be slow again.
